Wow! What a stunning video Gav. Loved every second of this one. Absolutely beautiful scenery and loved the fact that you travelled along roads that we have become to know so well from when we have our yearly break in Derbyshire., so see it all covered in snow & ice the way you captured it, felt like we were there! We have climbed up from Grindsbrook Knoll to Kinder and to see it in all its glory covered in snow, absolutely stunning! Wow! TThank you so much for sharing this with us. This is going to be a hard one to beat Gav. No pressure. 😂 until the next one. ❤️xx
Thanks for your kind words. There is only one thing that was missing. Can you guess? A huge aurora across the night sky leading into the morning inversion. 😂 if only. 🙂🙂 Maybe that’s being too greedy. Thanks for watching Sylvia. On to the next adventure.
Hey! So good to see you both 😍 it’s made my day! What a lovely time you shared together and a bonus video too, as you know I was out adventuring that night too. It was so peaceful didn’t even need a muffler on the mic 🎤 Enjoy your new tents, love the wild country ones, they will serve you well I’m sure. ATB guys, Sarah ✨🌙
Hi Sarah, thanks for your comment! It was a great wild camp but strange at times with there being no wind at all. It picked up the following day though. Crazy how the weather can affect a place so much as that walk back along the edge and down the Knoll felt totally different to normal. The Zephyros was an impulse buy as it was on for such a good deal - glad we got them as it’s a great little stealthy tent for only 1.6kg and fits small in the backpack. Hope you’re enjoying your holidays. 👍🏻🏕️🙂
Amazing Gav.... So many thanks for sharing. Your channel has definitely lived up to it's name, watching this has done my health the world of good. The very best wishes to you both ❤
It was one of those camps where it all seemed to come together. The only thing missing was a giant aurora above the tents in the night sky. It was cold, but great to have the gear and know that you’ll be ok as the light fades and the temperatures drop further. Great hobbies - wild camping, hiking, photography, video creation and You Tube fuses them all together. I’m glad you enjoyed the video! Comments like these make it all worthwhile. All the best. 👍🏻
You’re welcome. Great to hear the feedback. It’s such a great way of mixing hobbies together and that feeling sat in a cafe at the end of a long wild camp/hike is just spot on. 👍🏻 Take care and thanks for the kind words. 🙂
@HikingForHealth1 You too and looking forward to more videos. My favourite feeling is getting into a hot bath and letting my feet defrost after a camp or long hike! haha 😆
Thanks Rob, it’s up there as one of my favourites. Really enjoyed it. Thanks for watching and hope you’re well! Like the new Vlog set up by the way. 👍🏻
@ I can see why. When you get a winter camp like that it stands out in the memories. Cheers, just trying to get a set up for doing some in home videos for when I’ve got big gaps to fill
Absolutely breathtaking scenes there Gav! 👌 You'd be lucky to ever witness something that spectacular again. ❄️🤍❄️ Oh, and I loved the 'sound of Kinder' bit.. i adore the grouse call in the morning. ✨🏕️✨
You definitely know where you are when you wake up and hear those sounds! It was complete chance to catch it flying across as I couldn’t see it on the camera so just pointed it and hoped for the best. Thanks for watching. What a hobby eh. Hoping to use the Lanshan 3ful next time but it’ll be a first time run out as haven’t opened the box yet! 🤦🏻♂️ Thanks for watching M & D. Cheers!
Outstanding scenery, Gav and what an experience to wake up to! Nothing wrong with your healthy rations and what a price for that tent - a fraction of what I paid for the Helm Compact 2 a few years ago. All the best to you both. Really enjoyed this video.
Thanks for watching Olly, it was one of those camps where everything came together - the only thing missing was a cracking Aurora 😂 That tent - couldn’t believe what SDirect were selling them off for online. Very light too! 1.6kg ish. All the best Olly.
“Coffee in the moonlight 🎵 “ “Ahhhh, I’ve got cramp” Lovely camp, but you can keep this one. There’s cold and then there’s cold. Only made it to the sunrise. Will watch the rest as I lay in bed tomorrow morning.
A top snow camp Gav! From the immediate contours of the skyline overlooking the valley where you camped, I know where that spot is. Your new tents look nice mate and a good price. It looked like you both had a great time. Thanks for the video mate.👍🙂
Cheers Steve, the only thing missing would have been an amazing Aurora 😂 But maybe that would be asking too much! Hopefully one day will get an Aurora on a camp. Always good to have a selection of tents; the weight on this one is great and it fits in the pack nicely. All the best and thanks for watching 🙂
Hi mate - met you in Edale last Sunday at the end of our respective wild camps (I camped behind win hill if that helps jog your memory). Glad you mentioned you’re channel to me, thought this video was excellent. Good luck with all your future adventures and hope to see more like this 👍👍
Ah yes, I remember you. We chatted as we got into Edale and Lou was throwing her poles in the bin. Hope you got back ok. Your hike/camp sounded awesome. It’s a great hobby isn’t it - that feeling of accomplishment when you get back remembering all the adventure as the endorphins do their thing. Here’s to many more! Take care and thanks for finding the channel. Gav
What a stunning, beautiful video, and an amazing camp Gav. You did a really good job of recording your trip, and Lou makes the perfect video assistant!
Thanks Phil, was so good to get out as my last camp was August for one reason and another. And what a weekend to go. Lou really enjoyed it but I think she felt the cold more than I did. I’ll take some of those hand warmer next time 😀👊🏻
Beautifully filmed Gav! What a gorgeous winter wonderland. Love the "iced Kinder tea" in the clough. Really wish I lived closer to Edale and I recently bought a 4-season inner for my Lambshank-2. Will try get out more soon.
It’s such a great place to explore and keeps drawing me back again and again. And when it’s to be witnessed in those conditions it’s even better. Thanks for watching bud. That 4 season inner will work well for you. I got a 3ful Lanshan 2 which I haven’t had out of the box yet 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️ need to check that the inner isn’t the full mesh one as I’m sure I ordered the 4 season like you. Take care
Undoubtedly my favorite film you've done on your channel gav. Absolutely breathtaking in every way. The views the lovely music the cinematography just outstanding. Was great to see lou please send my love to her. I hope you are both keeping really well. Hopefully see you soon.
Well that was worth the wait Gave. The morning sunrise and inversion was amazing 👏. Great winter conditions and the only casualty was a trekking pole 🙌🙌
Was good to get out again! And the weather conditions were spot on. Makes up for all those camps with grey skies, rain and wind. Thanks for watching! 😀
Hi, thanks for watching. I use the iPhone 15 Pro but stabilised on a DJI osmo mobile 6 gimbal which is a combination that is working for me at the moment. Managed to get Mam Tor as an island stick out under the inversion from quite a distance. All the best.

Nicely done. Thank you 😊
Thank you too! 🙂
very relaxing vid dude keep them up !
Thanks! Appreciated. Atvb 👍🏻
That was blooming amazing Gav and Lou, a proper adventure.
Loved all the editing, really well presented.
❤
Thank for sharing
Glad you enjoyed it Dave. It was proper 🥶 but nothing us seasoned wild campers can’t deal with eh. 😂 Thanks for watching! 🏕️
Fab video 😄
Thanks Carrie, it was a great camp and the tents were a great deal at £70
@HikingForHealth1 Certainly are a great bargain. I'm looking for a new tent but I can't decide what to get🤔
Well if you need any advice if I can help I will - just let me know 🙂👍🏻🏕️
Wow!!!!! Absolutely speechless!!! ❄️🤍
It was one of the best. Some beautiful views. Thanks for watching 🙏🏼

Incredible video mate, the drone footage and sun rise in the morning was breath taking, this is what you call LIVING! 👍🌅🙏
Thanks for watching; it was an amazing camp and one I won’t forget in a hurry. I’ve dropped you a sub buddy. All the best! Gav 🙂👍🏻
@HikingForHealth1 Thanks so much, subbed you too, I have a new hiking video coming soon, thanks for inspiring me to do more videos 👍🙏

Hopefully I’ll get one of those cracking aurora camps like you’ve had many of! Not jealous at all. 😤
Great video dude and so nice to see you and Lou out together for a wild camp. Great to see all the snowy views.
Thanks Clint, it was just missing an aurora across the sky at midnight. 😀

@HikingForHealth1 She looked frozen in some of those shots Gav. Remind me before we meet next time, Ive quite a few spare hand warmers going spare!
