One of the best Channels on TH-cam! I bought a 2023 Tundra and use it for going to my camp and hauling wood. I would love to try a skandic with high/low range. Maybe next machine
I've only ridden a snowmobile once in my 64 years. A coworker bought a new one and let me ride his old SRX. I was following in his track and hit a rock he somehow missed. It broke a teflon covered guide rail of some sort and I felt terrible. He said he was going to sell it and after some serious consideration I decided to buy it. He changed his mind at the last second and that was the end and entirety of my snowmobiling foray. Thanks for sharing your new sled mods and box builds. I particularly liked your cable kink idea to prevent them from caught when closing the lid. Got any moose or other big game hunts planned for the near future? Prayers for a safe, fun, productive and lucrative trapping season.
I never had any luck with big game this season, I might have to find time to get an Elk in January but I'll have to see if time permits, other then that all hunting seasons are over around here, thanks for watching!
Really nice machine. I'm sure it will give you many seasons of good service. Very good box build too. I bet many people will be using your measurements and design. Always enjoy watching your show, Brother. Best of luck this season, and congratulations to your daughter!
Been watching you for a while, really enjoy your channel. I have a trapline up in the Yukon and have started filming because of your videos! I just picked up a 2025 skandic 600ace WT. love it. We’ve been trapping hard since mid November and doing well with good prime fur. Thanks for the tips on the box. Good luck this year!
Great video, I will be building a box and saw holder just like that for the most part for my tundra. I have one of the metal saw clamps but don't like it much. Thanks for sharing your videos
I love everything you build my friend it’s so very well thought out! Working on buying a place out of town right now then I’m gonna get a new trapping sled!
Nice tips there. I custom made a box for my snowmobile & it is better than the vinyl ones you buy. I really like those ski rollers. I got to get me a set of those. Thanks.
Right on thats a sweet sled 👍 this is awkward but you have a really nice box 🤣 at least its the most useful box i think ive ever seen 👍 that sucks you didn't get your Elk. Well cant wait for the season to start.
Great info & my hunting sucked last year for me as well the encounters were there but shit went sideways we all go thru this at one point Good luck this season
My suggestion is to get the DOO wide ski skins. Worth every penny for those Gen 4 widebody. I have a expedition se 900. I run 95% in ecko mode. Love these sleds. Enjoy
Have you tried a fiskars brush hook? I worked in the bush for many years and found the fiskars to be a way better tool than the sandvik. It weighs less, cuts bigger wood and is just more versatile.Cheers
Can't say I have, I've had this sandvik since I started trapping and has been a great tool, definitely not a replacement for an axe but has it's place, I'll look them up. Thanks!
Beautiful machine great set up! Should be a great season. Thanks for sharing the plans and great ideas!
Nice Job!!! Very well thought out and Congratulations on your Daughter’s wedding 💒
Thanks Chuck!

Right on Bernard! Thanks for watching!
I have a Skandic SWT. I put some Simmons skis on it, and it was a game changer - less tippy now.

Some good ideas on your box. I will have to borrow some for my next box.
Sure is handy and way cheaper! Might as well make use of the entire machine.
Heck of a craftsman

So am I, thanks Robert!
Excited for trapping videos
Thanks, should be some coming along, especially January and on.
Nice machine.👍✌️
Thanks! Them 4 strokes are sure nice.
@ I’m running a 18 tundra with the 600ace. Fuel savings alone is wonderful.
Thankyou 😊
Thanks for watching Robert!
Ever have issues with your saw getting plugged up with snow sitting in the back? Nice looking sled built out well.
Never, I would have covered it if so, but regardless of the snow it starts every time. Thanks!
@ I kinda figured that was the case. Everything else is purpose built. Love your videos. Do you have one on your truck setup? Thanks
@@hamms5560Truck set up? You wondering about the flat deck and such? If so I'll try and set something up. Thanks!
Looks awesome! How thick is the plywood you are using?
Thanks Derek! Everything is 3/4"

How come the back is 22 3/4 taper of the machine
Just the way the bumper tappers back, wider at the front and narrow at the back.
@whatido3021 great box super ideas
Looks good guy
