    Thank you so much for your demonstration! It helped me check my blood pressure correctly and gave me the normal levels so that I would know when my blood pressure is too high.

    Why do they take it with your arm on your thigh at the doctors office then? When I take my BP like that at home it’s 10-15 pts higher. The proper reading is at heart level? When I do that my BP is normal.

    1) which arm should we use? The left arm seems to be always higher?
    2) can we use the right arm?
    3) the first reading is always higher than the 2nd & 3rd reading. Do we need to take avg of 3 readings for accuracy?
    4) The fluctuation of 3 reading and left and right arm can be alot ofdifference.
    Eg. Taking at same time..
    Left arm 160/90 then 140/85 then 130/80
    Right arm 145/85 then 130/80 then 125/78…
    In this case how to record? Tksss

      Same with me in left arm in sitting position it is always in 1st reading-127/94 2nd 124/90 3rd 125/89
      And in Right hand 122/83,120/81/119/80 like that which to believe I don't know and while measuring it it sleeping position it is normal ....

    When I do it this way I’m good blood pressure is 120/81 , when I do it like they do when I go to the drs , meaning with my arm resting to my side pointing towards the floor my measurements a133/85 or higher

      @@ayshiajarabi3480 my doctor told me your technically supposed to have your arm raised to heart level . So sit , rest arm on table . That’s the proper reading

    • @hoopbaby07
      @hoopbaby07 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @umair ahmad means relax your arm on a table , make sure table is high enough to make your arm be at heart level ., think about where you heart is . And think of your arm as the line . You have to make that line , line up with the heart , relax and take the reading

    These are the guidelines we should be going by, not the ones they have now, it is ridiculous how low they have them set, even kids are being put on blood pressure medicine... smh... 140/90 is where it should be according to my cardiologist..

      I am 100% not a doctor, but I was concerned mine was a little high too. From the research I saw, that could be considered stage one hypertension. It's nothing to be freaked out about. Small changes can make a Huge difference. Breathing exercises on TH-cam, reduce salt, walk a little more are all easy fixing with big results. Let me know if it gets better. I'm going to recheck mine in a week.
