as a hairstylist, the blonde dysmorphia is so real😭 a lot of stylists call it "blonderexia", so many blonde clients can't tell how light their hair is, they'll try to bleach it until it falls out. they want it to be WHITE, like, glowing white. it's wild. I love warm, darker blondes though, I did a strawberry blonde on my friend once and it was so pretty, I wish more people did warm toned hair. kendall would look SO GOOD as a strawberry blonde, like a peachy color.
Growing up in San Diego- so many of my friends went through this lmfao. My friend Brittney was supposed to have “highlights” but her whole head was just white blonde haha.
Oh man I have the blonderexia very badly (as well as the other better known ‘rexia) and there were periods in my early 20’s I would bleach my hair every two weeks. I would get self conscious when someone had lighter blonde than me. It genuinely took therapy and growing up to realize how fucked up I looked. (My poor scalp is still paying the price) I was ofc one of those super blonde children who went ashey brown with time.
Seriously!! When I got highlights I had a girl tell me I needed to use purple toner on it but like…. They were supposed to be a warm caramel blonde (that just suited me best) I don’t need my hair to look like a flashbang 😭😭
Kendahl: Who the f--- is reading that?! Me glancing at the Color Me Beautiful book on my shelf: 👁️👄👁️ (In my defense I got it in a discarded library book sale and the illustrations are really pretty haha)
Blonde dysphoria is real. I was a blonde kid but its now like a mix of kendahl and sarahs but i color it ginger. For the longest time i was CERTAIN i was blonde. I remember the first time someone called me "the brown haired girl" and i was in SHOCK. My siblings have dark dark brown hair so in my mind i was blonde bc me and my mom have dirty blonde/light brown so i was convinced i was pretty much a bleach blonde until i was 11
you know once a homeless man slept in my moms jeep that was hidden behind our house about a 100 ft from the road so i guess if it’s gonna happen it’s gonna happen
☀️ As a former blond child to current light brown haired adult lol, I learned that puberty often darkens hair because hormones and their fluctuations affect melanin production! And for those of us who go through a 2nd puberty, it can darken hair further! Going on T made my hair darker in my 20’s haha
Man, the perfect segue would have been, "yeah, they saw my big panties, but guess what? They were color matched. Are yours?" somethin like that. Also, the existential disappointment of being a black guy watching this episode and wanting to figure out color matching, only to find out that there's hardly any good info for me online. Most may pigeon-hole me into the dark autumn/winter category, but in reality, who the hell knows?
Omg paused to write my great aunt helped write the book color me beautiful by Carole Jackson! She was married to a pastor with no children😂 Sarah you were so close!
Color is always strange to me. I’d love to see you guys get a color matching done at an appointment, since then you can compare the colors. I feel like Sarah looks great in brighter pinks (juicy tracksuit) and also feel like she’d look good in black. Kendahl feels like she’d fot «autumn-y» shades, like mustard? But then again it’s kind of hard to see it on this screen and studio.
I agree with Sarah in thinking Kendahl is a spring. She can hold down the medium contrast, warmth, and clarity. I think she’s a true spring and would look FABULOUS in those colors- ALSO kendahl you COULD have red hair you just need the right tone!
i was also a kid who had WHITE hair as a kid and then have been bleaching my hair since i was like 11 when it started to darken. it's so silly but im just so obsessed with the silver/white hair look
Having my color matched info would make my life so much easier lol. I like only wear black and green and im so afraid to wear any other color bc i think they look so awful on me. But i want so so badly to get back into wearing colors but its hard
I've had the same thing mentioned me about green eyes and purple! if you're tan and warm/nuetral tones with green eyes, lilac is BEAUTIFUL. it sucks I don't like wearing light colors because it's so pretty. also, I'm a neutral/warmish tone, and cream tends to look good on us! it just needs to be a warm off-white, it doesn't have to be yellowish to still look good. I think the hard part is when you're pale, it's difficult to find a white that doesn't wash you out.
What does the into mean? Like why do they say welcome to the chain and what does the BCC club stand for? I have been curious and I haven’t been able to find an explanation.
“Chain” refers to an email chain, BCC refers to “blind carbon copy” which is when you add someone to an email but the people receiving the email can’t see that you added that person to the email thread. I hope that makes sense lol
@@Emjay.dI think because they talk about internet topics so they wanted something that relates to being online. I would maybe watch the beginning of the first episode to see if they discuss it there?

KENDAL GO GINGER !! The best hair colors for spring is warm blonde , strawbery blonde , ginger , & light chocolate brown
