This carbon dioxide reactor is truly functional and excellent. I started using CO2 in the eighties when it didn't exist on the market and I produced it with sodium bicarbonate, citric acid and H2O. Have a good week Daniel
Yesterday I watched a video of a guy who "gassed" three of his shrimp tanks. What happened was the CO2 tank was getting low, so he opened the needle valve all the way. The next evening he recharged the tank, but the solenoid valve (he hooked it up to the timer for his lights) was off, so no CO2 was flowing. The next morning he woke up to a loud hissing noise and realized what had happened--he had forgotten to readjust the needle valve. After watching his video, I have crossed CO2 off my list of aquarium "wants". I wish you better luck. Cheers!
Yeah using Co2 isn't without it's perils but in many cases including the one you discussed there human error is largely to blame. Totally get it if people aren't comfortable to give it a shot but it's great to have a new option for giving it a go for people who are interested hey.
I do like the design of this system. If I ever dive into CO2, I'll build my own system and come up with my own CO2 formula. I'm a retired chemist, so water chemistry interests me. For example, I adjust pH using either dilute white vinegar or sodium bicarbonate solutions that I make up and feel 100% confident in. I am looking forward to the continuation of this series. Cheers! @@DanielKeepingFish
Best way to avoid situations like that is to just get a real Co2 system with a quality regulator like the UNS ones. DIY route is somewhat more convenient but there are inherent risks that isn’t worth it imo
Looks great Daniel, and the video was 👌 I was looking at the Fzone last summer and was tempted to dabble into Co2 then. So this might be the time to get on board
Awesome video Daniel , looks like a very high quality piece of kit you have there mate, gotta love finding coffee in the sugar lol. Btw did it not come with a pressure gauge? , great work as always mate, full view 😊
Great unboxing and review. In my experience it is very importand to keep a concistent and stable co2 level for success. Not sure this kit can keep that. But it looks awsome. Looking forward for long term review.🙂👍
Turns out you can retro-fit one but they haven't included it in the bundle to keep the price down for one reason. Think that's fair enough. Allows us to dip our toe in the water and can spend more on accessories at a later date if we're comfortable to I guess.
Daniel in my opinion you are the master at this type of video
Oh wow, thank you man. For someone I hold in high esteem in the hobby that really means a lot.
@@DanielKeepingFish Thanks mate
Thank you for sharing with us Daniel, it looks fab now to wait see how it performs 🎭 😊 🤗💙
Excited to see that myself Debz. Shall update shortly. 👍

Yeah definitely a place for the DIY approach but I do like the simplicity of this system I have to say.
Great information - you made that look and sound easy, thanks 😊
Thanks Wendy. It is pretty straightforward which is part of the appeal of this system for me.
That is really sleek looks like a great bit of kit
Agree there. Sleek and professional looking design for sure.
It looks to be very well built of high quality components.
Certainly does mate. Doesn't look out of place next to full high pressure systems I reckon.

It has really nice looks, will be interested to see how it performs over time. Pretty kitty cat there! 😺👍
Haha.. Blink likes to get himself in front of the camera every chance he can.
Pabs here m8...
I look forward to viewing these when I get home m8

If it works as well as it looks and is as simple as it is to use there'll be no complains from me.

Another excellent review my friend . I have to say I have never seen anything like that before.
I will be interested in how it does
Thanks Chris. I have encountered others but it nice to have an option from a company like Fluval that we can have faith in hey.

Thanks GMS. Certainly going to have fun with it finding out.
Thanks for your ideas my friend. Liked and subscribed here. I'll see what's the progress when I come back 🥰
Super sciency Daniel !! We hope it works out well for you. The only thing we use CO2 for is self defense😉😉
At least you called out no seliniod mate .
