      @@staydown4boWe know we eat with our hands. We just don't eat foods like egg, rice, mashed potatoes, pasta, beans/peas, soups, certain meats, etc. with our hands, especially in a formal setting. Your hands can get soiled and dirty real quick, which we simply do not like. Finger food, on the other hand, may be difficult to eat with utensils, thus the need for hands. Finger foods (not all) typically have some sort of encasing that makes it easier to hold and eat without the mess (i.e., sliced bread, buns, taco shells, pizza crust, pita bread). Others we eat on a stick, for instance kebobs. But yeah, we find it strange to see people that do eat those foods with their hands, granted they use some type of bread to pick up the food, it's still very strange.

    American BBQ, smoked meats and the vast array of side dishes that accompany them, remain one of only a handful of truly American Cuisines. There's plenty of global influence to the flavors and seasonings, but the long, slow cooking technique using hard woods and charcoal is one of the world's most unique and delicious culinary contributions. My absolute favorite food preparation method. I'm very proud that you were able to try it and that it was well-liked. I hope you are able to visit the United Sates and taste it here someday because we do it very well.

    I think all Texans will concur with this statement. So happy to see people of another culture enjoying BBQ for the first time. I hope they get to enjoy it again but want them to know there is much more to BBQ as it varies based on region in the USA. Kansas tends to sauce the meat to be more sweet, Tennessee prefers to smoke pork, Kentucky does lamb, ect. Maybe these gentlemen could try a range of bbq from the different regions? Looks like what they sampled were the BBQ staples of Texas. Arguably the best but I’m biased. Blessings from Dallas, Texas, USA.

      It might be the best, but there are others, like Argentina. Their bbq is no joke.

    • @Makabert.Abylon
      @Makabert.Abylon ปีที่แล้ว

      The barbecue they talk about as their own in texas came with the germans. Perhaps german barbecue is better then argentinian, maybe not

      Texans brag about their BBQ being the best, but it is beef. Arkansas has the best pork BBQ and the best and widest variety of sauces!

      @@Makabert.Abylon Argentina... in the end of the day, it comes down to the quality of the pasture. And they have this special cow breed, Aberdeen Angus, oh boy! Imo, Usa and Argentina both are the best in bbq.
      Brazil comes next, probably.

    Thats pretty funny, that first bite expression is the same no matter where your from when you eat Texas bbq. Even us Texans that grew up on it still have that same face. Its pure happiness.

    slow mesquite smoked brisket is the best, add a sweet n spicy BBQ sauce, is pure heaven. this made my mouth water.
    I miss my grandma's recipe for BBQ sauce she let it simmer in the smoker with the beef gave it a nice smokey flavor and smothered the brisket with it till it was nice and sticky. When i grew up I learned it was her grand mothers recipe and it was a blue ribbon winner in Texas.

    You did a great disservice depriving them of a quality spicy bbq sauce to accompany the smoked brisket. They say they love the spice, but you did not provide.

    Makes me very happy that they tried this!! Hopefully, they can make the ones they like the most in their homes - because the joy of Texas BBQ is that the ingredients are simple and available - you need charcoal and beef (and not even the expensive cuts of beef) to make it delicious at home. This made me smile all the way through.

      @Grandtank1999 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I always hope they take some pointers from the dishes they try home, they absolutely could cook some great BBQ with ingredients they probably already own, and even put some local flare to it. Some curry on a brisket sounds amazing.

    Taking a leap here, but I am thinking they all could do a version of low and slow with the animals they routinely feast. I know pork is forbidden--so many of our pork recipes--pulled pork, and other versions are so tasty as well. Have been thinking about Hawaiian pork too. Maybe some of our stews would be tasty too--since we are moving into fall--I know I am starting to get a craving. Food is the universal language--really. Love the sharing.

    Pulled Beef is a roast just pulled apart, BBQ sauce is a liquid used to marinate the meat before and while cooking. Mmmm now I need to put a roast in my crock pot and have some pulled beef for breakfast. I always have coleslaw in the house. Yummy. I also always have BBQ sauce in my pantry.

    I do love your honesty and expression. I have been trying some of your dishes (I think they are from your area). Namely Nihari which I do enjoy and have tried three somewhat different variations. All were very good but I still seek the perfect one (I am from the US and still haven't found the perfect Chili in my 55 years but loved many).
