I really enjoy your videos. Thanks for the honesty and encouragement. I’m a 61 year old grandmother in Georgia, US and I ran, actually ran, two 5Ks recently! For someone who is not a natural runner and always said I couldn’t run, realizing I’m a real runner now is HUGE! Keep up the good work!
I am SO thankful I found your channel!! What an inspiration you are to me. Thank you for being so honest and real. I look forward to watching your videos! 😁
You are so inspiring Lucy!! There is no channel like yours that show this amount of running. The highs the lows. I started running in lockdown and it kept me sane. I’ve signed up to run 10 miles. Thanks to you!!! 😊keep up the good work.😘
Great to see a new video Lucy and well done! 15k is further than I’ve ever run before. I’m training for a half marathon (😳) so over 25k of running next week! I’m looking forward to it (despite a sore hip)
Great job Lucy!!! I am now able to comment (it was my internet)...You did super great...inspiring for sure. We run EARLY mornings (4:30 a.m.) it gets SO HOT here in South Carolina...Thanks for another great video...I look so FORWARD to your videos...they inspire me to go on and get out there...Donna B
I normally run then rest, rest, rest, rest, run, rest, rest, rest, rest .... and always moan I am not progressing haha. good job on getting out there especially in this heat! My main goal is to run more regularly to build back up. looking forward to seeing your future content!
Welcome back Lucy. I too have lost the bug for running but I've rejoined the gym and intend to get fit. In September I'm climbing snowdon and I want to enjoy it not endure it 😬
I found your channel and I am enjoying watching your videos. I relate quite a lot to them, I started running last autumn at over 19st and like you i found very few channels on here about that sort of journey so I started my own. After nearly a year, a couple of injuries and covid hitting me hard I am pleased with where I am with my weight (4 stone lost and counting) and in my running. I am training for a 10k next month and this weekend I got a sub 30 min 5k at parkrun. I think I could do a 10k now with a couple of stops but I am building up slowly to try to avoid stopping or walking, Im off out in a minute for an 8 km which if I am successful will be my longest continuous run to date. Keep going with the running and the videos.
You’ve done so well! You must be overjoyed with your progress 🙌🏼 I wish you the best for your run. I know you will smash it! Thank you for watching and keep going 🏃🏻♀️💪🏼
Great video - very inspiring :) I've found running 5k every day is a fantastic way to get very fit very fast... Just one thing - you'd have been a lot cooler without the hydration vest, which isn't really needed for anything under a half marathon or even marathon. Or just use a belt...
You are such a great inspiration. Thank you for sharing your journey with all of us! Lucy, which garmin do you use? I have tried apple watch, etc...and end up back with the garmin but there are so many different types. Thanks in advance...Donna B.
Thank you Donna!! I use the Forerunner 735XT. I used to have an Apple Watch but I much prefer the garmin 🙌🏼 This one is meant for triathlons though (it’s a hand me down from my husband) so it probably isn’t worth spending the extra for it. Sorry I can’t recommend any others! 😬

Thank you! I like to wear the vest when I’m filming on a run because it makes filming so much easier 🙌🏼 I don’t wear it normally for such short runs 😁
@@lucyshawvlogs Ah, makes sense ;D
Sounds like a fun challenge! Can’t wait for the next video. Where did you get your hydration vest?
It’s a really old one I stole from my husband so I don’t actually know where it’s from 😬
Great job Lucy,I don't like running in the heat it drains me completely.
Thank you! Oh that heat made some of my runs sooo uncomfortable 😣 Hate running in the heat!
