There are two screws, one for connecting the whole handle to the handlebar and the other for the brake handle. Loosen the one near the handlebar with an allen wrench just a little and adjust the brake lever.
I watched this video specifically because I was looking for how to adjust the brakes, but you use a different bike to demonstrate balancing the brakes, so this video was no help. Please make sure the bike you are featuring has exactly the same brakes as the one in the video. That wasn't true in this case.
Thanks for your comment but both bikes have gyro brakes and are exactly the same. What is the difference between them? I would be happy to know so I can consider it in the future.
@ProAssembler your video shows a huffy rock creek when you are adjusting the brakes. They aren't exactly the same. I found this video that gave me the information I needed. Notice how the brakes are different th-cam.com/video/6o09WDbA-7A/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared
@@BrightOutlook This is what happens when a person is too hasty and misses the opportunity. You only saw the first stage assembly. Now take a look at minute 21:26 . First I explained the settings at the bottom and then I installed and configured the top. Please watch and tell me what you think.
@@BrightOutlook This yellow bike has a V-type rear brake and I showed the adjustment on the front wheel because it was easier to see and of course I mentioned before that you can do the same operation on the rear but the video you sent me the link to is a U-type brake and it is completely different from this bike. One thing I noticed and I don't know if it is correct or not is that they used a U-type brake on the new model. What type of brake is installed on the bike you currently have?
@@HylixLL37 Okay. Now I realized . This is the brake wire adjustment screw and of course there is one on the brake arm with a slight difference. To install the brake wire, the grooves must be aligned. If it is hard to turn it, use a pliers and turn it a little Sometimes the screw turns easily and sometimes you have to turn it with pliers. If the brake wire is already installed, do not do anything with it Hope my explanation helped you.
Very very veryyyyy good instructions especially for someone whos never put a bike together. Thankyou!!!
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you so much! The written instructions that came with the bike left me us confused, and your video helped us get it ready to ride!
