    That last scene of you cutting your work from your loom gave me goosebumps.
    What a beautiful piece of cloth.

    Both the knitted and woven shawls are stunning, I can't choose which one I love more 😍

    I love your sweater. Next year's Make 9 is already crowded but I think I need to add another.

    Great video and I really love your sweater, which I remembered was a project you were working on in another video. Thank you for sharing. Love watching your videos as they’ve really inspired and informed me to get back into more challenging and interesting knitting projects. Keep the videos coming.

    The tapestry table runner sounds awesome. Tapestry is not fast to weave, as I learned, so that seems like a real project. But it will be gorgeous when it’s done

    Tuesday October 3 2023. I don’t suppose you still have the yard for the shawls! The one in the box.

    Hello, is the Symphony Kit still available to work the knitted shawl? I would really love to get my hands on those beautiful colors.

    Symphony kit - MUST HAVE - that shawl pattern is so lovely and textured!! Ugh, I love all your Sweetgeorgia stuff so much, it's embarassing.

    The shawl is gorgeous. I have a 36” rigid heddle loom and I’m assuming I could weave something close to it on my loom. I’m also thinking that I could purchase 2 of the Symphony Kits to accomplish it. Can’t wait for the class. But also, I’m coming to the retreat and really looking forward to that.

      Thank you so much! Absolutely, you can weave this on a rigid heddle loom! 2 Symphony Kits would be the same as 3 Party of Fives :) See you in a couple weeks!

    For Christmas you should knit a Red Cable Knit Turtleneck Sweater

    On my Rigid Heddle I am having trouble with warp threads sticking together making it difficult to open up the shed. This only happens with some yarns (halo or slight fuzz). Is there anyway I can handle this? I am presently combing the threads to help separate them.

    • @sweetgeorgia
      @sweetgeorgia  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      For sure, when a wove a mohair blanket, the warp threads would stick together and make it difficult to open the shed... I would need to open the shed and then use a pickup stick to clear the shed before laying in the weft yarn. I've been advised not to comb the warp threads because it can cause tension issues...

    What skirt were you were referring to that you wanted to weave fabric for?

    • @sweetgeorgia
      @sweetgeorgia  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It was this pattern from Seamwork: Osaka (www.seamwork.com/catalog/osaka) but I see it's been discontinued now ...

    Can u make a rectangular shawl with this kit like a big one or u have to get two?

    • @sweetgeorgia
      @sweetgeorgia  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Tonie... for the rectangular shawl that I showed, I used three Party of Five mini skein sets for a total of 15 mini skeins (sweetgeorgiayarns.com/product-category/yarn/mini-skein-sets/). If you use the Symphony Kit, it has half the yardage, so I would guess you could make a narrower scarf :)

    Were the three party of fives you used Emerald, Gemstone and Tanzanite?

      Alithia87 yes indeed!

      @@sweetgeorgia Thanks :-) Also, what width loom did you weave the large shawl on? Does it require a multi-shaft loom, or can a rigid heddle loom be used?

    • @sweetgeorgia
      @sweetgeorgia  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Alithia87 for this shawl, I used the Schacht Baby Wolf which has a 26” wide weaving width. In this case, it’s woven in plain weave. You could absolutely do something similar on a rigid heddle loom. I used a sett of 10 epi for this.

    Okay I'm not sure what I'm going to get but I'm going to get something! Love your projects and all the beautiful colors in your yarn. It's crazy how happy it makes me feel.
    On the pompoms, Very Pink Knits posted a few great videos on hats with pompoms, th-cam.com/video/Sz-o1C_8-vA/w-d-xo.html, and included this link to an Etsy shop where she's purchased really nice pompoms, www.etsy.com/shop/FFFabuknits. Hope this helps a little bit and you don't mind me attaching.
