I've been waiting so long for this! Would love to see more Strongwomen and Strongmen on the show. You want to talk body transformation, longevity, versatility and the marriage of strength power and endurance? Strongman 💪
I met Nik at the Dinnie stones. Great guy and a pleasure to talk to. The one thing I'd like to point out is, on that tv show he may well of been the smallest guy but hes a huge dude. Wide AF but almost normal compared to Brain etc
Recovering from a reattach now, 6 months is spot on when it's presumed I'll be back to full strength training but have a nationals spot 2 months after.
When are you going to start reviewing more Vulcan equipment? They have a selectorized weight stack for their power racks like the rep ares but almost no videos or reviews on the product.
I love how the consequences of dropping 425 pounds onto his chest doesn't even get brought up (beyond the possibility of internal bleeding) like it's just a thing that happened. I understand the cancer part of the story takes priority but I find it very funny regardless. The "normalization of the crazy" will always be interesting to me because of how lifting for 13 years (last 4-5 being more serious, more planned) has normalized aspects of it that don't jibe with societal messaging. Great pod, guys.
Cant stress enough. D3, magnesium, k2 from free range beef organs. B complex , zink. C, calcium These are the bedrock of every foundation for every athlete. So so so important. More than any macros.
If people just eat like a lightweight athlete do some cardio and train like a strongman they'd function like they want and look like a bodybuilder but actually be useful
Functional is such a terrible word. Who the heck wants to be functional? Althletic Badass,. People really could use a some training on thier imagination and how words affect your imagination.
Every lift, no matter how simple, has an aspect of skill. Being functional for what? It's an easy answer for competitive athletes; they train to be stronger/better at their sport. For the average person, even a, (supposedly non-functional), dedicated progressive bodybuilding-style routine, after a year, will have made them strong enough to engage in any typical activity w/strength to spare.
Tell me you live at home with your parents without telling me you live at home with your parents. Everybody has bills to pay, including your parents, so yes since these podcasts are free, they still need to pay the electric bill, they need to pay Andrew for his labor, don't forget about property taxes, potential rent, etc. Grow tf up 🤦
@LatimusChadimus in 34 and live on 10 acres I own free and clear in a house that I also own free and clear. Nice try though. Grow tf up and stop assuming.
Great to see Nick Best on the podcast! I meet him at the Shaw Classic, he truly is a great guy.
Christmas tradition here in the uk.
Every single year we watch it, and I have since the eighties.
Wouldn’t be Christmas without it here🇬🇧
Nick Best is such an amazing competitor and a credit to the sport of strongman.
Very interesting guest much appreciated that you invited nick best for your podcast, honored and decorated strongman
Decorated? Has only 3 competition wins to his name

PED question…. When I inject testosterone in my quad I get a lump under my leg. Any suggestions on where to inject so this doesn’t happen?
Dont inject in your quad. Do only glutes and Shoulders
Outside of quad, not inside, also massage it SOFTLY
Apt name
Why don't you have Brian Shaw on anymore?
StrongMan is the King of Lifting, easy......
If people just eat like a lightweight athlete do some cardio and train like a strongman they'd function like they want and look like a bodybuilder but actually be useful
I'm 55 and those minerals changed my life.
if you're natural, if you're not hitting your numbers, well probably over trained
👍👍
So uncomfortable doing 2 hrs podcast standing
want your foot to be a foot? well take your shoes and socks off when you can. grounding is real
I like Nick.. but ge has the mobility of someone with a broken back. Not exactly the most functional dude.
Functional is such a terrible word. Who the heck wants to be functional?
Althletic Badass,. People really could use a some training on thier imagination and how words affect your imagination.
You need training on spelling and grammar.
Replace functional with sports specific and almost everyone will feel much better
How is there functional and non functional strength training?
bodybuilding to look pretty
strongman to lift awkward loads and carry it
conditioning to have more endurance
@@robbhensel7842 sports specific is a better way to lool at it vs functional&non
