  • I recently purchased this violin to use as a "second" instrument for outside gigs, etc. I like it enough to use it for just about everything. I hope you enjoy my terrible playing and my obnoxious dog!

    Congrats on the fiddle, mine ifstrings was made in 2018, now having a very deep dark tone. Definitely outplays my other German violin

    Hey Chuck. Wanted to thank you for this video, I talked with Lance and getting my own Master Build Heifetz as well. This video really helped me out to go for it. Man that intro is extremely funny!!

      Hi Chuck, 1 year after buying the violin how did the sound progress? Did it open up more?

    I own two Maggini Violas, two Guadagnini Violas, One Gamba Style, One CJ Dvorac Viola, and 5 M20+T20+ violins. Very nice Betts Copy from 2007. They 20+ mastertone instruments until a year later from violin varnish finish date to be dry a year to become master violins after that year of drying. The Violas are truly great and most shops sell these violins as their own!

      Imagine you just dropped this info like that in a conversation: well, I own two Maggini violins and a Guadagnini violin. People will wonder whether you also own a house or have to sleep on the street due to these purchases!

    YITA's violin below T/M20 looks to be CNC router made violin. T20+ or M20+ and above are ok.

    try using different G D strings , for something with more throw , but some (most) cheaper violins suffer up the finger board , a decent bridge strings and bow can open up budget chinese guitars around $500 . as can years of playing

    Chuck the violin sounds great. Is it signed?

    I bought a similar model from GEWA but I think made in China. The bridge was cut nicely but too high on mine too. Easy fix for me.

    I always get rid of the strings on a new Chinese violin and either refit or replace the bridge. I use Perfection pegs so it doesn't matter how the stock pegs are fitted. I'm bidding on a Yita M20 "Ole Bull" model now.

      before you do that check them first, because the strings might be high quality strings

      because you don't want to throw away good strings

    What strings did you put on your Il Cannone, please?

    • @chuckgviolin3538
      @chuckgviolin3538  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It came with Larson il Canone strings on it. They are really terrific, but very expensive. More than Eva Parazzi.

      Medium. I found soloist to be pretty good but not good enough for the extra money.
