      glad you enjoyed it; there's so much great work of his out there that never gets suggested or requested & it's a shame -- people are missing out on so much of what his voice was capable of, not to mention some of those awesome performances

    The documentaries of his childhood, as his childhood friends and his family remember him, are so telling of his talent.

    Thanks for all your Elvis reactions, I been a fan since the 50's, now at almost 80 I still get a thrill seeing him again. Saw him twice in concert and looked Evan better in person. The most beautiful man I ever saw and so talented. Hey if you get a chance would you please do "Elvis Presley King of Kindness". And you will see his generous side. Thanks.

      I have been watching & listening to Elvis since 1954 when i was 11 so we are the same age; i'm appreciating him more now & hearing things in his voice that i didn't hear when i was younger; he was just a marvel..

    He could sing anything ❤ his moves to the beat, his passion and how he commands the musicians… he was an act which we will never see again ❤ many can try but what Elvis had, it cannot be learned!

    Sad but so beautifully sung. I agree with you that even though at times he smiles there’s a sadness to his voice. After he did the movies and came out in the 68 Special, he said” I’ll never sing another song I don’t like or feel”, one can see that in his music and performances. 😊😊❤❤

    Elvis was a very spontaneous man and got bored very quickly, as his shows were 2 a day, 1 at midnight for 30 days non stop, no days off, he used to add bits to relieve the monotony.
    According to Ginger he wouldn't come out of his bedroom in his last weeks, she had to visit him there.
    So very very sad....

    Elvis was a great Joker and prankster ,one time when he was playing one of the big ,posh Hotels in Vegas ( carn't remember which one ) him and his mates slipped down to the main show room when everyone was asleep and the painted all the cherubs on the wall paper black and the next day the Management knew it was Elvis so they said nothing and left it that way for quite a while !After all it was Elvis ,he could get away with it but others wouldn't have !

    Even with all the fame and all the accolades, as a pure performer EP is probably one of the most underrated artists of all time.

    • @Aquarius69
      @Aquarius69 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Elvis is NOT underrated! Don´t now what you make think that? Elvis is the GOAT! No one never ever comes close! Charisma, voice, stage presence, humor, generosity, the bond with his fans, he loved his fans. Elvis was a performer to touch, without star airs. In 1999 Elvis was awarded as the Artist Of The Century, Elvis is in all 6 Hall Of Fame, Elvis is the artist with the most sold albums, over 1 billion, Elvis still holds the record breaking 1.5 billion viewers on his satellite TV show in 1973. Elvis was and is the most known and most beloved artist worldwide! At the start in the 50´s Elvis changed the face of pop(ular) music forever, he started a new sound, a new style, he mediated and connected between black and white by music, opened the door for everyone, especially for black artists, to be excepted to the white audience. Elvis is the greatest culture force in the 20th Century, his influence and impact is the greatest in music history till today!

      @JHargis68 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Aquarius69 Yes, I know he did all that. But until recently he's been seen by a lot of younger people just as the caricature that's been so often portrayed in popular culture ("Thank ya. Thank ya very much."). Too often the myth has overshadowed the artist - the innovator, the arguably greatest vocalist of the twentieth century, the showman, even the producer. One thing the Elvis movie did was open a lot of young people's eyes to Elvis and get them to actually listen to his music and watch him on videos. And so many of them have commented, "I never knew he was this great!"
      That's what I mean when I say he's underrated as an artist.

      wait, what? He's considered literally one of if not the greatest singers of all time..he's literally the most successful solo artist in history, still. the most beloved loved artist, ever. not to mention he's off the charts beautiful.

    Rory - someone below mentioned the Sit down outtake; there are a # of different versions & since they did not supply a URL address you'll have no way to know where to go -- there is a good version that has 4 songs on it (some versions have only 2 songs) so go to th-cam.com/video/9lm5m0H0LQk/w-d-xo.html ; also they mentioned more rehearsal outtakes -- not sure what that means -- there are a lot of rehearsal videos, some bad quality, some good; no URL address is given so it's a little difficult to know just what they are referring to. Thank you for this.
