    Just came across your video. I live in Eastern Oregon and am really wanting to do the same thing with my fifth wheel. I originally was looking at a 14’ high (side) length, 18’ wide, and 40’ depth, but would like to keep it as small as possibly can. My fifth wheel is spect’ed at 12’7”. I lifted it 2” for a more level hook up while towing. I too also have the Andersen hitch and was concerned about the clearance while unhooking. If you think that would work for you, I’m sure it would work for me. That was my concern. Thank you so much for your review…really enjoyed it. BTW I have a ‘2022 Cougar 27sgs. Thanks again.

    Just the video I was looking for, thank you! Very seriously considering this same structure. I have the same height RV (13'6'") - do you feel like you could have gone with a 13' leg height?
    If you were to park the RV as close as possible to the left wall with the slide out open (closer than yours is in this video), do you think your RV would still clear the roof if you had gone with 13' legs?
    If so, by how many inches do you think? Thanks for your time - subscribed!

      We can almost stand on the roof with this unit (probably 4' clearance from the roof) , if I did it again I would go 12' side walls and still have plenty of room.

    Do you mind sharing what metro you live in and the cost breakdown?

  • @AlohaPrepper
    @AlohaPrepper 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    What was the cost? I'm also curious to know if those carports can be built strong enough to mount some solar panels on them.

    • @RVLivingYet
      @RVLivingYet  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Cost varies by state, size and features, you can get a quote by emailing the rep in the description, I dont think these are rated for any extra weight so I wouldnt risk putting solar panels up there.

      What did you pay ?

    We need this for our RV. What type of gravel did you use? And how much was the project start to finish?

    • @RVLivingYet
      @RVLivingYet  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It was just 1" base Gravel, total project was around $9k

      @@RVLivingYet I’m liking the price! We live in northwestern Indiana and it’s flat and extreme straight line wind gust that often occurs for a couple days and multiple times a year. You think this carport would hold up?

    • @RVLivingYet
      @RVLivingYet  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@beckysanders2935 They are rated for 120 mph winds, we get the same winds here in the mid west and no issues this far.

      I am in wyoming. Travel trailer, salem, 38ft. Guy here quoted me 30 to 50 grand to make a three sided pole barn over it. I was floored. Should I say carport when searching for someone instead of pole barn? He didn't even say I needed concrete and was that much. Soooo peeved

  • @Dukemeistro
    @Dukemeistro ปีที่แล้ว

    You mentioned it being anchored in concrete. Would you explain?

    • @RVLivingYet
      @RVLivingYet  ปีที่แล้ว

      They put post into the ground and poured concrete around them

      As you know prices change all the time. Plus we got it while they were running a special. The info is below you are always welcome to call them. They are all custom, so the prices will be different depending on your specs and the specials they have. Thanks for watching !
