heyyy quick question, how were you academically in high school? like gpa, volunteer hours, test scores all that. i’m kinda scared mines not good enough for ucf
Jorge Zambrano Well I had a pretty strong GPA of 4.25 which helped out on making up for my low SAT score being 1060 😂. I didn’t have any volunteer hours but I did have a solid base of extracurriculars being on the cross country and track team since I was in 10th grade. I also submitted recommendation letters with a good personal statement essay on my application as well. Other than that I didn’t really have anything THAT impressive. So yeah don’t sweat it, have some faith in Jesus and everything will be alright😊😁👍🏾

How prevalent is the black student life at UCF??

how easy is it for someone without a car to transport to stores like a target or Walmart? are there any busses that transport there or would i have to take an Uber

I live in Indiana but I’m getting instate tuition for wherever I want to go and I looked it up and it’s $4,000. Now I want to go here but it’s so faraway
I really want to get in but I’m so scared...this,UW and USF are my dream schools...I have good scores but I’m not sure about being accepted I really pray I do

ugh i want to go to UCF but i feel like i won’t get in :( the acceptance rate keeps getting stricter each year. any yips?
You will! you just need to be positive and be confident in your application! I don’t really know much about the acceptance rate this year or what’s important now to get into ucf but i do know when i was applying i didn’t have the BEST score but i did try really hard on my essay and i had a lot of volunteer hours and i was involved with school. I was mainly trying to show ucf that i was a good well rounded student! I also got my acceptance pretty late in my senior year & i do have a friend that actually got her acceptance about a month before her summer term, so with that being said if you don’t hear from them now, there’s still a chance. just be patient and positive :)

did it ever feel overwhelming being at such a large campus? i’m trying to decide where to go in the fall and UCF might be an option but i’m not sure how to feel about such a large campus
i personally didn’t because i like being around a lot of people, but it’s honestly preference. If you are someone that doesn’t mind crowds or being in large classes then ucf is great but if not, you might not like it as much :/

I saw in previous comments that you don't live on campus. Do you live in student housing off campus? I am attending in the fall but I currently live and hour away from campus, so I need to explore living arrangements.
yes i live off campus. there are many many apartments right next to campus you can look into

Hear you say you live off campus. Would you recommend living off campus than on campus?
If it’s gonna be your first year i recommend living on campus just because you’ll get to be more involved with the school and meet new people, but since it’s my second year I wanted a bigger space so i decided to go off campus! I’ll be doing a video based on questions i’ve received about ucf so i’ll definitely answer this question more in depth! Also go ahead and ask any more questions that’d you like me to answer :)
If that's the case, then another question I have is about the population. I always like to have relationships with teachers because it makes me feel like I can talk to them about anything. But UCF has a huge population and I feel like I won't be able to ask questions or communicate during lessons, is that a problem there?

Are you a full time or part time student and would you say a full time student would have time for a job?
i am a full time student. I do think it’s very possible to have a job while being full time. I have many friends that have one and are full time. I would recommend when you come to campus and have your schedule set to then make that decision if a part time job would be good for you :)

I would say as the years go on it gets hard, but it’s not too too difficult. and yes there is a different time for each class

yeah anybody can pretty much walk on campus. but to get into dorms/apartments you need a key
