  • Hi everyone and here's something a little different from our channel. We have a new drone for our channel, which we are very much looking forward to using on our holiday vlogs and to hopefully give some new angles of where have travelled to. We are also hoping to take it out and about and try to capture some of the beautiful English countryside near us (or any where we trave to)
So i hope you will sit back, relax, and see some different views of the lovely Suffolk Coast near where we live, as i take the drone up for its first view flights.
This video will be from Shingle street Hollesley (outside Woodbridge) (also famous for some of the trials for the Bouncing Bombs created by Sir Barnes Wallis used in the bombing raids against the German dams in the second World War. Famous also for the "Bodies on the beach" during World War 2. and more recently more famous for one of the locations used to film Yesterday where John Lennon lived)
East Lane by Bawdsey village. A very distinct crumbling coast line.
Bawdsey Quay and outlet from the river Deben (pronounced dee-ben) where it meets the rather tranquil and charming North Sea (well on a summers day it may not look so brown) This also features the old RAF Bawdsey Manor (now a PGL), which is where they were instrumental in developing the first RADAR during the Second World War. This then went on to be one of the very important sites of an RAF & MOD attachment to maintain the near by underground ROTAR base which was a Government system across the country to have secret underground facilities to track and monitor possible threat from the old Soviet Union Bombers and Nuclear strikes, this was opperated from between the 1950's and 1990's.
The last part of the film is of the river Deben in Melton near to the very lovely town of Woodbridge, a hub of activity for many boats, but with a strong old history dating back to the Saxon's and Vikings, as this part of the river is very close to the Saxon burial site Sutton Hoo.
I hope the enjoy the video and you might like to join us again for more, hopefully give us a thumbs up and hit the notifications.
