This video is great! I studied cosmetology in Mexico now I am studying Cidesco in the UK and I do think that the course in Mexico was way deeper and better in a way... There are many things that beauty students do not learn and many situations that students do not know how to manage... Its sad but its so real!
Same here.. in Hungary it takes at least 3years course to get your qualification and in the uk u can get it in few months..
Hello! I just wanted so say hi and thank you for your helpful videos! I'm from New Zealand and I just finished my cidesco diploma and certificate in beauty therapy. I watched your video on job interviews as I was getting ready for my first interview for a role as a therapist and I got the job! Videos like this are super helpful as I feel not many people talk about how different and almost strange it is to go from training to actually working and having your own colum ext. And the part about the brands and how they make you feel about products is dead on! So thank you !! Xx

I have watched lots of ur videos, they are amazing, so helpful your doing a great job in your videos 😍 I have done level 2 and nearly finished level 3, it's so hard finding a job in the salon without any experience! X
I am a spa therapist and I think that they should teach about adapting treatments and mother to be treatments. Learning that not everyone can lie on their front or not everyone wants certain parts of a treatments for reason or another; it used to really throw me when I first qualified and I see it so much in therapists who are less confident
Thank you for making this video.. I have had the same experience. I have taken up many courses and to go into a salon and be taught that what I learnt was not the industry technique.
There's also something else for removing nail polish from the skin or actually preventing it to begin with, I've seen it in videos but I don't know what it is - it's like those liquid band-aids (may be exactly what it is); it's some clear coat you paint the skin around the nails and then peel it off at the end, no remover necessary!
I love your honesty, £180 for a moisturiser lol they make us fall in love with it.. if a £5 moisturiser works for you, then great why pay an extra £175

retinol also affects the skin so much making it very sensitive, so much you cant wax on the face unless they stop taking it for 6 weeks.

Some beauty therapy courses include makeup but they only teach you the basics. You can look at what the courses includes before you apply.

Hello Melis! I would like to ask for your opinion on Laser Hair Bleaching. I have fine dark hairs on my abdomen that have blonde roots so my electrolysis lady told me she cant remove them. She suggested laser bleaching but the effect only lasts 2 months. Do you think I should go for it? what do you recommend me to do (waxing, bleaching cream, shaving ... )?
I've never heard of laser hair bleaching. You can do electrolysis on any hair colour. If she uses the lamp to create a shadow, she can see the root of the hair and do electrolysis as normal. I advise you to go to a few different salons and get a second opinion
why do you think makeup remover wipes were made?
Not sure probably for people who want to remove makeup quickly
