Tell him that his big Nigerian sisters on TH-cam are upset with him for being so unkind and we DEMAND that he changes his ways. 😡 🥰

I am an African American and my husband is from Nigeria. I cooked this meal with whatever meat I had on hand. He loved it and had a happy 😁 bowl! Thank you for showing us your secrets to making this dish!
@@afroniahwanjiru8489 You can use any meat or fish you like, one type or a combination. We like to use a combination for a variety of flavours and textures but you can certainly use just one.
Hya... finally finally I hear someone actually stating the fact that the bell peppers we get in Europe isn’t anywhere near the tatashe peppers ... I lived in naija for two years and cook with tatashe and rodo... the combo is fabulous... I always find I can’t really do any soups with the European bell peppers as they give totally different taste.... cheers 😊😊😊
DAMN! I wish I was a visitor to your house the day you cooked this! You won't hear "thank you, I'm ok" if asked if I want to join for lunch. Great job mama! 🙂
O boy ! This is okra soup with 9 lives . I’m over here imagining how that bleached palm oil would have transformed the soup, Mmm mm yum . 🙌🏼 and then the snails,, 😋😋😋 . Definitely a must try.
Soup fit for a king and his queen hmmm. Just the way I like it. I use one tomato fresh one, instead of bell pepper and dried pumpkin leaves just before i stop cooking I cover the pot to release some water from the veg for the soupiness....whao my best soup.
OMG! My secret is out!! Those smokec red peppers are the best for "Ewa aganyi" "Can't be beat!" LOL Available at most Hispanic stores. Next time, just soak your stock fish overnight in salt water. No boiling required. Usually I buy in bulk, soak overnight, debone and store in the freezer.
Beautiful colourful soup! I'm so trying it this weekend. I like adding just a tiny bit of leaves though UPDATE: this is officially the best Okro soup I’ve ever cooked and I’ve made it twice in the last week. Thank you sis

Girl, ever since I discovered bleached palm oil, I batch bleach and add a tablespoon to every Nigerian stew or soup I make even when main oil is vegetable. I don't know but the bleached palm oil elevates the taste to a different level.
But when you bleach palm oil you kill all the nutrients in it like the vitamin A and all the carotenoids which are very healthy and good 4 your health.
This is the kind of soup my husband refers to as "every hand is a winner". There's always a piece of fish or meat in every portion that enters your mouth😂 Thank you also for the idea when cutting okra. I never would've thought of that💕
