So you're telling me that in real life, pilot and copilot can only tilt the plane to only one side each, and have to hold a standstill in order to land it?
I should add that the last round is a normal round, but the brakes are checked rather than the airspeed. I house rule this round, which is why the explanation is slightly misleading.

The wings MUST be horizontal when landing or you lose.
