- Biljana Đurđević was born in 1973 in Belgrade, Serbia. She lives and works in Belgrade.
Đurđević investigates the constant and growing tension of capitalist societies. Through paintings and animations, the artist mixes references from classical painting and scenes from our contemporary daily life, creating narratives and worlds whose boundary between what is real and what is built dissolves in the tension of the image that always carries the viewer towards a chasm from which to climb.
