Start The Splits

  • Even if you're not very flexible, you can still learn to do the splits.
    Start with a stack of cushions, maybe even yoga blocks for support, bend your front leg to feel a stretch on your back psoas, and apply the 3 principles of the Science of Stretching:
    Wet Noodle. Muscles stretch best when completely relaxed.
    Breathe to relax: Inhale through your nose to the count of four, and exhale to the count of eight.
    Time under passive tension, hold onto poses for around 2-5 minutes.
    Do this for each side and over time you’ll start removing one or all of the cushions, into a full split!

    When I saw this I had to laugh because I was telling my friend how I can't do several asanas anymore one being full split.

    Can you change the pillows to 3 bricks stacked together?
    And place your palms together in the center of your heartspace?
