I also think you can see how big the world of One Piece is in how I think all the islands are as big as the countries in our world they are based on (for example, Alabasta, which would be as big as Egypt or Water 7 Venice is so big) and despite that no island is considered big because that world is so big that no island is considered big.

Totto Land and Wano are the largest kingdoms we've seen so far...Alabasta, which would be the next largest, was small enough for the crew to traverse through almost every city in a couple of days. And these three are the only islands/kingdoms that come to mind that we didn't see in full scale (not that I remember at least). Water 7 is way smaller than Venice and that's still it's actually on the relatively larger side compared to other islands relative to their influence. For instance Dressrosa, which we saw many times in it's entirety, is absoltely miniscule compared to Spain...it's just one big city surrounded by cliffs. There's no basis on estimating that the One Piece world is any bigger or smaller than Earth, but as for the islands they're just factually way smaller

As someone who finally started watching One Piece I can easily say this series has the best designs in any anime ever. I love Dragon Quest and it reminds me a lot of the colorful designs there and I know I have a long way to go, but I am glad I finally started watching it.
Before the timeskip many people avoided One Piece because they did not like the art style and the way the characters looked but im happy that people more seems to feel the opposite nowadays after the timeskip.
That number for him is straight BS...we saw a panel/shot of him standing before Rebecca (1.8m) and he's a little over double her height. At most 5.5m if we're being very generous with perspective. The same goes for Hamburg aswell btw who is 4m at most and Shiki who is maybe half the size than shown here. They don't have a vivre card entry so no idea where they came up with these ridiculous estimates. Big Mom is by far the tallest non-giant humanoid character with only Jack being pretty close, and her being a little over half the size of the smallest Giant seems to be a pretty decent dividing factor.
It's crazy how after all these years the most definitive, haunting and power-revealing picture we have of the Sea Kings that unofficially rule the seas which we always go back to for reference is from a pre-Grand Line filler arc from like the first year or two of the anime's airtime.
What I really wanna know is how obscenely large was the being whose skull makes up Onigashima? Momo's dragon form is about the same size as Kaido and he was TINY compared to the skull. That monster would have made Zunisha look like a small rodent. @@augustjim
We always see them in manga panels and in the anime and sometimes next to each other and we really dont see the scale to size always unless its like Katakuri, Big Mom ect. I'm looking at a pic of Luffy, Law and Kid now. With Kid its kinda obvious but Law and Luffy look around the same height 😅. Sometimes Robin grows and shrinks too. But overall heights in OP are ridiculous anyway especially when Oda gives these huge characters small legs 😂. Play Pirate Warriors where its more accurate and its terrifying when your playing as a average sized character 😂

Although Hody Jones is officially 3.31m and Ulti is probably around 5m in hybrid form but in general she is 1.73m. It's mind blowing how Zunesha is big. It's unmeasureable. Although her relative height has to be way less as her legs are mostly submerged for most of time. Every time I see the humans in the One Piece universe, I can't help but wonder how they got so tall. What's in the One Piece Universe that makes a huge portion of the population of this world so big?
Cross breeding. Remember there are other humanoid species in the OP universe that are naturally tall, the giants being the obvious example. Their genetics are all over the globe through millennia of cross breeding with other species. Like in the real world, do you know that 1 of 200 people are direct descendant of Genghis Khan?
I only ever noticed Oden was so tall through a funny way. As I was playing One Piece pirate warriors 4 I decided to pick him while my friend picked Luffy.. when we spawned in he said "ayo come here for a sec" we stood side by side and I realized Oden towers over Luffy 😂
That's one thing I never really understood about the One-Piece universe. So people in Luffy's crew and similar are considered to be "normal" sizes for their different species and whatnot. But then you will see pirates like whitebeard and Don Flamingo who are like 2-3 times in size in height comparably, with the same going for other pirates and members of the Navy. And then you will see 3 or more different sizes for those considered to be Giants that are bigger (as giants should be, but some are much bigger than others and there isn't very much consistency). Granted that this is a Manga and Anime where there wouldn't be a lot of "normal" had to begin with, but it's still kind of wierd even for One-Piece standards.
Luffy's Bajrang Gun is a Pika (full-body) sized fist 🤯, and Kaido's Flame Dragon Torch is a Sea King 🤯. Not only size, but Haki as well... Yonkos are Sea King KO'ers, basically 😎
Wrong ! Re-read the chapter. Kaido's flame dragon is pretty much like a susanoo, it's at the very least a dozen times bigger than his regular dragon form.

I remember 20 years or so ago when I first saw the Giants on Little Garden and I thought they were too big. Then White Beard who wasn't a giant first appeared right before the crew reached Jaya and I spent a lot of time at school thinking about just how massive he was. Now the power scaling has gotten completely out of control and every other character is like 10 feet tall. lol I miss the earlier days of One Piece when everything was simple, and it was just a tight nit crew. I rewatch One Piece once per year because the earlier episodes before the time skip really were my favorites. After that, things get a little crazy. Thing is you have to give Oda credit for the sheer creativity he's displayed by creating so many unique characters. One of my favorite things about his characters is their unique and annoying laughs that somehow grow on you. lol
For real, I definitely enjoyed the more "normal" looking, proportional-sized designs of the people they would encounter during the pre timeskip. Like skypeia, water 7, thriller bark. Compared to wano, dressrosa and whole cake. :-p
Tbh, I think Whitebeard should have just been the largest humanoid in the series. I also think Kaido should have been a more normal size person. Maybe still like 7' so he towers over the straw hats but just let his enormous power speak for itself rather than his size.
The main thing I get from this video is that average human height in One Piece world is ~40-50 cm above ours and also that difference between tallest and... less tall people are much bigger.
Definitely a good way to differentiate characters and classify them. For example nin Doflamingos flash back with parents and even brother shows they are all a family of giants around 65% taller than how typical humans usually are but also much thinner. Sometimes you have characters giant in height and width with usually bigger heads for consistency

Its Oda's innacuracy. The haki is one of the biggest inaccuracy in one piece. It changes to fit the story and the situation. Greedy oda cant even keep up to his own doings.

I remember 20 years or so ago when I first saw the Giants on Little Garden and I thought they were too big. Then White Beard who wasn't a giant first appeared right before the crew reached Jaya and I spent a lot of time at school thinking about just how massive he was. Now the power scaling has gotten completely out of control and every other character is like 10 feet tall. lol I miss the earlier days of One Piece when everything was simple, and it was just a tight nit crew. I rewatch One Piece once per year because the earlier episodes before the time skip really were my favorites. After that, things get a little crazy. Thing is you have to give Oda credit for the sheer creativity he's displayed by creating so many unique characters. One of my favorite things about his characters is their unique and annoying laughs that somehow grow on you. lol

For real, I definitely enjoyed the more "normal" looking, proportional-sized designs of the people they would encounter during the pre timeskip. Like skypeia, water 7, thriller bark. Compared to wano, dressrosa and whole cake. :-p
Tbh, I think Whitebeard should have just been the largest humanoid in the series. I also think Kaido should have been a more normal size person. Maybe still like 7' so he towers over the straw hats but just let his enormous power speak for itself rather than his size.

The main thing I get from this video is that average human height in One Piece world is ~40-50 cm above ours and also that difference between tallest and... less tall people are much bigger.
Definitely a good way to differentiate characters and classify them. For example nin Doflamingos flash back with parents and even brother shows they are all a family of giants around 65% taller than how typical humans usually are but also much thinner. Sometimes you have characters giant in height and width with usually bigger heads for consistency
Most characters from the East Blue have normal sized. People from North Blue and the New World are big.

Its Oda's innacuracy. The haki is one of the biggest inaccuracy in one piece. It changes to fit the story and the situation. Greedy oda cant even keep up to his own doings.

Really nice video. It really shows the height differences between the characters. But is shiki really 605 cm. Because when looking at the strong world movie is obviously very tall compared to the other straw hat pirates, but not that and massive. Also according to one piece wiki his height is not confirmed either.

Not really... lol Pica is Doflamingo's underling, and Doffy is Kaido's. One blast breath would get the job done in my honest opinion. Low to no diff for Kaido, "One on one, always bet on Kaido". That saying actually holds pretty true in One Piece
His haki can't match Kaido's haki, we all watched how strong Kaido and his Haki, Kaido doesn't even need to transform into Dragon he just needs normal form and and 1 Thunder Bagua.

those were just shadows of the people living in Skypeia, so they don't count as their own creatures.
