    Hi Robbie thanks so much for mentioning fishing people with disabilities being a person who fishers from a mobility chair I get so frustrated and angry at some of the jetties with steps

    Giday Robbie ,mate I have learnt so much from watching your videos I live in qld love the salt water fishing, and also the fresh water fishing in Western qld for yellowbelly n cod , iam currently in Campbelltown Tasmania fishing in the Elisabeth River, last night I caught a 41cm brown trout on a berkly gulp fat hollow sandworm. Camo , I then talk a photo and released him to fight another day .

    Thank you for mentioning disability fishing, my dad, 5 months ago tragically lost his leg in a bulldozer, it means a lot ❤ he now fishes from a wheelchair untill his prosthetic arrives❤

    Best of luck getting that Jetty at your local river, it is great for people with mobility issues and keep people outside and engaged with others. Might have been Carp, but at least they kept you busy at both locations. Great job as always, thanks for sharing Robbie!

    Very enjoyable watch and I hope that the powers that be build a fishing platform/station..it opens up part of the world a lot of people with disabilities never get the opportunity to fish safely and contentedly.. as I have mentioned my own lad has vision and mobility hurdles and these simple platforms give him the opportunity to fish with his old Papa....
    So good on ya mate for high lighting them...

      Hi mate, I've never been to Queensland and it depends what type of yabbies you're after. I believe rockmelon is a good bait for redclaw, but I've never tried it myself.

    That was a good fishing trip rob u got alot of carp if ur ever up around Sydney way you need to go to st marys and go to the the sporting fields and fish in the creek there i used to get 25 pound carp out that creek aswell as 55cm bass , u should check it out if ur ever up that way

      I have no idea sorry. I'm guessing because it is in the town of Tungamah is probably how it got its name. To be honest, I don't even know if that is it's official name or just an appropriate neme given to it.

      Hi mate, yellowbelly are native to Australia. Out redfin (English Perch) are the ones that look a lot like your yellow perch.

      Because they taste great, they're a good food source and they're a trophy sportfish loved by many people, myself included.
      They are great fun to catch on lures. Carp rarely take lures.
      Carp don't really bring anything to the table. Literally!

    Robbie l was watching a doco on carp, and there were two cooks trying to convince people to keep the carp you catch and cook them. There was deep fried and also patties and also baked. But l wouldn’t try anything you can’t take the mud taste out and this doco was in Australia.

      I've tried it a few times. I really wish that I could eat them. It's such a waste of a resource. The flavour is OK but the bones are horrendous.

    Hey Robbie, as someone who has had some experience with dealing with councils and government bodies unfortunately it wont happen unless you really push them to get things done.
    Have you tried approaching other volunteer community organizations to see if they could help pressure council/ fisheries?

    Another great video. I don't even eat any animal products, but am glued to them all. Surely most want to know what's under the surface and it's great to see. As for the council, unless you've figured out a way of getting rid of everyone for the planet's sake, you are wasting your time speaking to them. Probably the sickest people on Earth.

    I do a lot of fishing in the Broken and Boosey and unfortunately I do think its going to take a few years for the native fishing to return to pre blackwater levels.

      Sure have mate, I have quite a lot of blackfish fishing videos and even w blackfish fishing playlist. Only the small ones on the northern side of the Great Dividing Range though. I've never fished for the big ones on the other side of the ranges.

    Least every carp you remove give our native fish to return to those areas and thrive. I’ve done that to the broken river outside Benalla to a section of the river for three Easter’s caught estimate of 80+ carp biggest 90cm then the following year catching cod and callous ever since

      @@robbiefishing unrelated here but the build of that trout. It's back to belly dimension is about the same as it's mouth to tail dimension. I saw it in an American publication called Field and Stream. Such a chunky fish.

      @@robbiefishing with bobbing rod or standard jigging with blades blue is good but that with standard 7 foot rod ya have to tie up to a big dead tree is the go bobbing but with big cork and a blade instead of a worm can be done anywhere on a bank can Bob outa a boat but need dirty water.

      Shrimp are my favourite bait for yellowbelly but almost impossible to catch in winter. Yabbies I can get though. I want to know that there are yellas in there first before I put on a yellowbelly specific bait.
