Thank you! Good idea with that plywood to protect transmission. I have a 2002 silverado, and it looks identical to yours as far as transmission mount and crossmember. I was thinking the same thing. Like whynot just support the transmission right where it is and remove the crossmember. I dont know what hoses or pipes are flexible enough to lift the trans 2" but the way hes doing it is very common.
Many things can cause that. First/second accumulator piston. Low fluid level, TPS sensor, MAP sensor, MAF sensor. All these things plus more work together for shifting correctly. First thing I would check is your fluid level. That’s free to do. Check it with the engine running after driving a bit to get the transmission fluid warmed up.
