Im new to cloth diapering, barley been doing it for about 3 months but my 16month old has been leaking through HARDCORE! im desperate at this point!! Thank you, will definitely be trying this out
It can be hard finding the absorbency your little one needs! There are so many options out there to try, it can take a little bit of trial and error. Don't give up. I hope this setup is helpful for you and your little one!
Where can you get the fleece and hemp inserts that you have? My son has been allergic to every single disposable diaper that I've tried, except for a super expensive one and I'm desperate to make cloth diapers work for him... but I didnt know they had fitted ones like that. Do you know how to do the ones that you have to put on them?
The fitted she mentioned is only sold at Greenmountaindiapers.com called a workhorse the inserts can be bought at cloth diaper websites if you do a search or on Amazon they are called thirsties hemp inserts. I hope that helps :0)
We use fitteds and hemp inserts for most of our nighttime diapers because they are easier to put on, honestly. I think my husband finds them easier than flats. But I really do love the simplicity of flats and the fact that they will dry really quick in the dryer. I always have to hang dry or throw my fitteds (and some of my hemp inserts) in another round of drying because they are still damp at the end of the first cycle, when all of my flats are perfectly dry.
LainasLife thanks we are venturing into night time cloth and very torn between flats or fitted' s so I know my husband won't do the flats I'll have to so maybe a mixture of both thanks so much for your help 💖
Was it hard to transition to overnight CD? We've also been using disposable her whole life and considering making the switch, but I've heard a lot of not so great things about doing overnight. Was your son bothered at all making the switch?
I started cloth diapering my girl at 4 weeks old and started right into overnight diapers cause I thought, what's the worst that could happen, a leak?😂 So I gave it a try and it is still going well at 4 months! I use the exact same diaper I use during the day at night since my baby isn't a heavy wetter, but as she makes more pee the older she gets, I am planning on adding a booster. I currently use Green Mountain Diaper organic cotton Muslin one size flats on her in an origami fold most of the time and will be adding a GMD cotton booster once she needs it. She sleeps anywhere between 9 to 12 hours and Haven't had one leak! Hope that info helps you decide what you might want to do!
And no, it was not hard at all! A little nerve wracking, but not hard at all. Just give it a go! And it's okay to give up too and try again another time! Cloth does not have to be 100% all in from the start. Despite my cloth journey going well for me, I still use disposables almost every week for when I get lazy or need a break. Sending all the cloth diaper love!

Do you have a video of washing the fitted diapers?
I have the same routine for all of my diapers here: th-cam.com/video/X1jzIpQ9ILA/w-d-xo.html
