Thanks so much for sharing your story…I am early 60s and so close to pulling the trigger on a houseboat and doing something similar to what you’re doing…I am inspired by your zest for life
Great video! My wife and I will be semi-retiring and moving from Carrabelle down to Titusville later this year and we've been considering the purchase of a houseboat for cruising the East Coast ICW and beyond. We've owned several boats such as a Hatteras 53 and a Bertram 45 over the years and traveled extensively throughout the Caribbean down as far as St. Vincent. However, we're now older and wanting something a little more simple and affordable for cruising in domestic coastal/inland waters such as on the Great Loop, so we're finding your experiences with the Gibson houseboat to be very informative. We'll be subbing and watching your further installments. Thanks!
We did a long river trip Cincinnati to Nashville 5 years ago. (768 miles) I have been wanting to do another bucket list trip since. The route you are taking in Florida is very close to the trip I am developing for Winter/spring next year. So please include info on resources and marinas that were useful. We will do it with a 27-30 ft Walk Around. Very different boat but many lessons you can learn for us. :-) Safe travels SB.
I was thinking Harbourmaster Gibson was my second guess, i like it, everything on the main level. Enjoy your journey, great video @saltybushwacker2023
Keith say it listed. We got a great price for it and didn't hesitate. It was located in Jacksonville, FL. so we had to drive it around to the other side of the State.
found it on FB market place and went the next day to see it. Good boat and a good price. Good deal on bigger boats are out there if you stay diligent and keep looking.
It should not be.....check the settings in your end...sometimes it defaults to 480 so the play without buffering. I think you can adjust it on your phone or tv.... thx for watching
@@saltybushwacker2023 yea man the settings only go up to 480p on your videos. i can watch literally everything else on youtube in hi def. not sure if this is something everyone is experiencing. thanks anyway man love your video's
@Catchyalater_Fishing_Co Somehow my editing program changed to 480 when I download and I did not notice....I'm sure it was something I did on accident....now way to change it without delete and repost ...sorry about that I'm learning as I go with this boat and editing videos.... AND thx for brining it to my attention
more than I should have because the motors had fuel issues I'm addressing now. about 1.5 miles per gallon and it should have been 2 mpg if running correctly

What’s the year, make, model of the boat? Also, how much did it cost? I love the looks for yours and would like to find a similar model. Thanks!

How much fuel did you burn on the 600 mile trip
