The one thing with fostering on the triplet to the single before the third lamb is born, is that the third one may be in some way unviable. One thing I used to do with the long arm glove in my pocket, was to put my hand in it, pull it partly inside out, then put it in my pocket so that the surface going inside the ewe will not be contaminated by an inevitably dirty pocket. I also used to hobble the donor lamb by passing twine around a foreleg then behind the neck and around the other foreleg. Never in front of the neck. All suggestions intended to be helpful, not a criticism.
Thanks for sharing Wendy. That's what Sheep School is all about, sharing a little knowledge! Really like your tip with the glove, I overlooked that one and think hygiene is very important for the sheep to avoid any future problems.
Yet another 1st class video. We have only about 40 ewes. 30 texel commercial and about 10 pedigree texels. The commercials all lambed no problem but the 10 pedigree were all empty no lambs at all. They are all mixed together at tipping time. Would you have any idea what went wrong. It's very disappointing.
Thank you very much! The empties are very disappointing. Last year I had quite a few empty ewe lambs at scanning and more empty from scanning to lambs. Turned out to be Enzotic abortion. Vaccination solved the problem this year. If yours were bought in sheep could be Toxo or Enzo if they were never exposed to it before. Did they all lamb ok last year? David.
Will the ewe with one lamb take the first wet lamb I have to tie legs on lambs and wet them with fluid to get them to take. Great job if they are lambing together
Good to know you are enjoying videos! Think I introduced Maria in the Pre-Lambing problems video: th-cam.com/video/teNIBc1RdHA/w-d-xo.html That was her first day I think. She is a really good student..👌
I use it that side for access quite a bit and if I have a wild sheep I can open big gate inwards and use walk through as a passageway to get her out..👌
One of the best wet adoption videos I've seen 👌
Thank you.👌

We bought 3 pedigree in 2022. 3 were are own replacemens and 4 had lambs before

I just love your videos. Could you please introduce us to Maria.

Nice work, Are you only lambing now or is this video recorded from a little while ago
It's from a short while ago, playing catch up with the editing...👌
Hope lambing goes well for you. I enjoy your videos. Do you use glucose with the pet lambs in the powder. I do stop them being bloated
Good to know you enjoy them.. never heard of that. do you give them glucose in every feed and how much? I've lost one pet with bloat so far..
@Sheep School every feed a big spoon glucose powder per lamb. sold in any vets handy for calves too.
Another aspect of the gate walk through trough you've ended up showing there is the access at both ends of the pen you've made.
I use it that side for access quite a bit and if I have a wild sheep I can open big gate inwards and use walk through as a passageway to get her out..👌
What breed do you have? Very nice lambs you getting there!
They are called Lleyn Sheep.
@@sheepschool365 never hered of that,is it a pure breed? Or maybe a bit of ncc?
Lleyns are a pure breed.

Super easy sheep...👌
You should do a daily blog like the sheep game
Would love to but the editing is time consuming. Cammy is some man getting one out every day.. might try to get 2 videos a week out.
❤❤❤❤
Thank you 👍
U are very late lambing or was this filmed a while ago
Little bit behind with the editing...
