@@LeDibeau That is because the boomer generation sold this country out. the politicians, the businesses, and the consumers. The fact of the matter is Americans can no longer afford quality items, because the dollar is worthless. but that's what happens when you export all your labor, import the rest and pay hispanic psudo-slaves close to nothing, and print zillions of fake dollars.
I'll lake a sloppy stamping or engraving over a laser mark ANY DAY. If its in any sort of abrasive environment, that's going to look like crap in a couple months, and no one will be able to read it in a few years. They've switched to laser marking the data plates on electric motors, its a complete nightmare.

@TangentJim Jim, don't ruin your credibility. Do you prefer a scale with laser markings or engraved lines? I'm calling it like it is. Laser markings are trash. Not a single, knowledgeable, person prefers them. The truth of the matter is business, such as yourself, uses them because it costs almost nothing to do, making the profit margins are high. Don't lie to your audience and pretend otherwise. Saying you saved the customer money by cheaply laser making them for this application, is perfectly reasonable and acceptable. People support you because you shoot straight, keep it that way.

What are these used for?
Will they fit my front door or my car door or my bathroom door?
Ed DRM - Thanks for watching . I don't exactly know - it's an industrial appication . I bid the job and got it .

@@TangentJim Ok...I was curious...thought maybe you sold them for a specific use.
