PB15 is actually Daniel Smith’s Manganese Blue Hue. It’s related to all the Phthalo blue pigments like PB15:1, PB15:3 and PB15:6 but the pigment particles are much larger in PB15 which is why, (unlike the phthalos) it granulates and doesn’t stain, lifting from the paper much easier. The pigment is made from the same stuff tho.
Youv'ed opened my eyes to this versitile option in using Neutral Tint. It really adds that little something we are looking for, the answer we were looking for. Thank you!
Thanks for this very helpful demonstration! I just got a tube today and anxious to use it this evening. Semi-amazingly, I've been learning to paint with watercolor for a year now, reading many self-help books, watching videos and even taking a class twice a week, and I've not heard of neutral tint until some four days ago! Happy to subscribe! 🎨
That’s fascinating! I’ve never seen that done. Loved the yellow and teal applications. Thanks. Lisa
You're welcome. I love that teal color! 😍
Very enlightening! Thank you!

Thanks for that info! That's very interesting.
Thank you Vinita, I have never used Neutral Tint to it's potential. Can't wait to try all these interesting mixtures!
You're such a great teacher, Vinita, thank you for sharing - this is a great tip!
Ah, Thank you Joani! 😊
Really good and informative from. I just found your channel and joined so I will be watching more.
What is that little palette you are using?
I’m picking my colors for a curated plien air pallet. This is definitely going in!
Can you paint with colored watercolor on top of a neutral tint value painting?

You're welcome Jana! If you try using NT let me know if you like it.
Great information and so clearly presented as usual. :) I've never thought about using neutral tint but now might have to give it a try!
Thank you!
