As a mom rasing sons and having to be coach dad sometimes I absolutely loved this video! Coaches are great but having a parent to understand and teach you this is awesome bcos no body wants more for your child than you do. So I will be teaching them what I learned from you. Thank you
I need tips I’m in middle school (8th) haven’t played tackle once in my life but I am decent at receiver I’ve just been looking for good videos to learn how to tackle but fr i rly could use tips just comment Wtv
@@Sugarsg-tag Not a perfect tackler myself, but think about a power clean. Power comes from your legs, through your hips, and through contact. Plus, it improves your explosiveness and coordination; just a great lift in general. Also focus on wrapping up: doesn't matter how big they are, if you take out their legs, they can't run.
dang, 10 is super early when it comes to tackling, obviously im not gonna tell you what to do but the rule weve had in my family is that you cant play until 9th grade, seeing people that are 22 or younger getting CTE
@@kyngpapi honestly I’d let you do what you see fit for you or your kid, but there’s a lot of things you can look at regarding cte, and I would just watch out for it
Thank you I appreciate this video I am a QB but play defence too and love it but have not been able to tackle particularly hard and this helped me a lot and am gonna be practicing.
My biggest mistake when tackling is I hesitate and wait to see what he is gonna do for example I will stop my feet and wait to see if he is gonna lower his shoulder and try to run me over or put his foot in the ground and do a juke move should I make my move first and not wait and make him react off of me?
i also do this but ur supposed to use something called a drive step so instead of fully sprinting and trying to make the tackle put ur near foot to his near hip slowing down slightly and then try n drive through
Any advice on how to brake down and gain yards bc when I brake down they juke me nd when I run full speed I get the it sometimes but not all the time and also can I put a hand on them while they run just so I know how far they are from me or is that Pi
I need sum help I play a team this week nd a rout they love to spam is 2 yrd then turn around (don’t know what’s it’s called it’s my first year playing) should I come down the line and hit him or try to get the ball and if I should hit him y not hit him in his stomach area bc it would hurt the most and most def gon get a fumble or sum
If runner is going to my left. I use my left shoulder. Head behind. If runner going to my right I use my right shoulder. Head behind. Head behind is new teaching way.
It seemed like some good tips but when you were demonstrating the tackle your head was in front of the ball carrier. Definitely important that it’s behind him

So when youre tackling, If there going to there left u tackle with ur left shoulder and left leg? And right for if they go to there right?
That's correct!
Yes be an ankle biter
@@IceWallowcome-iu8qyhow do you ankle bite

Does this apply to linebackers too? Or not really?
Yes
made some friends that like playing football today. js tryna get good so i wont have to get carried lol
What does it mean to stack someone?
It means to basically like beat them while your running
Put them behind you as you shed the block instead of just to moving them to the side of you
I just got a college offer
Congrats cousin 🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿 that’s a huge blessing man!! Keep working and continue to be great!!
Congrats!
Nice
How?

He specifically said he believes head in front but if you teach head behind that is OK too.
They need to ban leading with shoulder without arms forward to wrap!
Head behind is an arm tackle which is improper technique.
Thank you
