Thank you for the video Martin. I'm just beginning the Initiation into Hermetics and I hope it allows me to elevate myself. In recent years I've experienced a great deal of loss in my mental focus, my willpower, and my general faith in myself. I've tried many different spiritual paths before that I feel like I've learned a great deal from, but Hermetics is the first one I've felt has really given me a true foothold to bettering myself, or perhaps I'm just now ready to do so.
Exactly. Good points. Procrastination, finding excuses, things that "need" to be done before as way to prepare mentally. Also perfectionism, beneficial to remind self that it's better to do rather procrastinating since you can't do prefectly.
My spirit guides or whatever anyone would like to call them came to me after two weeks of practicing what is in the book. I haven't been able to find the same discipline as I did in those two weeks. I haven't had the same experience since. Some people can say it was a delusion but I had gone to a friend the day before and he had given me a book to read, but I was into the book that I was practicing from so I put his book to the side. When I went to him and told him my experience, all he said was go read the book that I had given you. As I read the book he had given me the author had undergone the same experience that I had. His spirit guides came to him in the same way. So there was no coincidence... I haven't told anyone that has practiced initiation into hermetics, because no one I know wants to read the book..
Great video, Martin! I think I recognised excuses I've given myself in different occasions. In my case it's usually either "oh F, it got too late" or if my health is not ok. Funnily enough, the times when I didn't feel ok, but I managed to convince myself to practice, I actually got a very nice practice. But sometimes the body just needs to rest and recover. I think what worked for me most was to fall in love with the exercises I'm doing. It's much easier to persevere if you enjoy what you're doing.
At this point I am nearing completion of Step IV, and am literally a different human being than I was when I began. The most profound line in this video is "The practitioner needs to choose the discipline of being exact." Very useful advice, because I have several times in earlier steps deviated from the actual exercises and found that I would lose my mojo. It is a strange, subtle feeling - sort of a drifting, a perception of a stop to progress or even futility, followed by a gentle inner prompting to get back on the path. Only when I went back, re-read the material and did it again exactly did I move forward. There is, I think, also another good suggestion here, which I will do - Martin suggests at the very start of this video that it would be sound practice to re-read Bardon's entire body of writing. At the beginning, some years ago, I did read the first three volumes but much of the material at that time was beyond me, as if I were just reading words with no real understanding - a 'fly-by.' Now, though, things are really beginning to fall into place in terms of the Knowledge Pillar. A disciplined re-reading of all materials at this point seems much in order. There is one caveat to this re-reading, though, and that is this: Do not try something in a much later step that you are not ready for. I began going through the steps in IIH some time ago, and lost several years by making this mistake. I was not finished with my Soul Mirror work - had not yet achieved sufficient equilibrium to move to Step III, but did anyway. My first accumulation of the fire element frightened me badly, and made me sick for weeks. It also amplified some of the fiery elemental qualities I had not yet learned to completely control. I am back now, though - have been seriously practicing IIH since late 2021. The Soul Mirror work is vital. Don't hurry it, and do it diligently, because the elemental equilibrium, or equipoise, is absolutely vital as the base from which you move on. If it takes a year or even two or three, that's OK. You must do it well and achieve that self-mastery before you can even think of moving on. In his theory section (IIH), Bardon describes this as 'sweeping the soul clean of filth.' Martin, your videos and books are very good. Thank you.
What do you think of combining several methods? Now I am combining Bardon Initiation into hermetic and reality transurfing method. The modern methods of manifestation are much less demanding and they promise faster results. It would be interesting to know with method are the best.
Good Day. Thank you for sharing. Be reassured Bardon does not recommend you don't read the whole book but rather that you don't start the practices of the steps beyond your own. The whole book should be read through repeatedly no matter what step you are on.
Greetings, I'm 18 and new to spirituality. I feel extremely drawn to IIH and would be willing to dedicate my time to it. My ultimate goal is spiritual development but i also want to be secure and fairly prosperous in the material realm because unfortunately my condition in Malkuth is the ground on which I operate and develop my other faculties. Does IIH offer the technology to achieve that as well or is it just purely spiritual? Are there any other such paths like IIH?
Thanks for the video. I just found this video and your channel. I have practiced Initiation into Hermetic, but I get stuck in the exercises all the time. I've actually read the whole book and reread some parts several times because I start all over again all the time. I love both the book and the language. But in the beginning I did not want to continue reading because I did not finish the exercises. It feels like I need a study plan to cope with what structures how much time I should spend on it. It's true that it's the most exciting thing when I think about it, but once I do, it does not turn out quite as I had planned and I find it hard And I always following to many practicing. I find so many ockult studies exciting. It is so hard to choice.
i think we are all evolved differently for example I can empty my mind completely for a very long time but I can't hold a simple image of a triangle or simple shape in my mind for 2 seconds let alone 10 minutes. I have actually reached samhadi oneness with everything and everyone being God the end stage of mystics multiple times through deep empty meditations. but i can't hold an image in my mind. i have vast amount of psychic abilities but can't hold an image in my mind as though my visualization skills are handicapped and I can only see whats available to me in the astral realms. I am so advanced in 1 path of meditation yet so infantile in another. Bardon states in his books one can mostly telepathically communicate and evoke up to planet Saturn and the outter 3 is out of reach. Me I have evoked the outter 3 planetary heads without great difficulty... Whats your thoughts on that? Has anyone started out so bad as me when it comes to visualization but later improved by practice? I keep ending back in square one when i try and push myself. Perhaps my handicap is a reason why my void meditation and with it all the gifts come easy?
Good Day. Thank you for your detailed comment. We all have our own talents and abilities depending on our elemental makeup. The goal is to bring things into balance. This is of course done via our exercises, our soul mirror work and improvements to how we live our life. To make this work we have to be very dedicated and disciplined. Control ourselves and don't skip ahead or change course and to practice the things we find hardest most. Yes with this method someone who can't visualise can be transformed and find the inner colour needed to form images.
@@MartinFaulks thanks, for your response I respect your dedication on your path in hermetics and your strengthened self discipline evolution and advancement as a magician. Franz Bardon Book definitely seems to have been a great path to your evolution as I am sure you agree and can testify on your own self development.
Could another possibly be it's not the right path for me at this time? Or perhaps I'm just making excuses. It's something I really need to think about.
The book is just amazing i got all books from Franz Bardon but spiritual training according the books is really difficult to me. Maybe im not on this magical level yet. But still his knowledge of occult is profound. Thanks for your video mate. Very helpful
@@AOsithlord Well. I still do some meditations to access lucidity in dreams but never passed even whole 1st book. But Ive had some mystic experiences during studying both books.
The books are faulty and of course the fact that Master Bardon did not master every intelligence or the general order some students prefer to travel in a more individual manner. Be very cautious believing everything in the book. You can trust what is true, but his books need to change for obvious reasons. It’s so high quality in some ways that students tend to underestimate their own abilities and path. Be yourself and read the books, trust your insight and find unity. Talk to other masters and learn all that you can. Know what healthy practice is. IIH it is not, only after above mentioned change. I didn’t enjoy the practice because it seemed too monotonous. Looking forward to individualized books, dynamic books :) good times to come when we reach new technology.
Good Day. Thank you for your comment. As you are aware Master Bardon was very protective of the Hermetic arts and when he was asked to write the true method in a direct form felt that some measures needed to be put into place to prevent people who are not ready being able to skip ahead. This is the reason some things in his works only made sense if you actually work your way to them. This is quite hard and requires great discipline because your inner shortcomings will come to challenge you. Often your personality will be seeking excuses or redirections rather than evolving to meet the challenge.
Are judging people. How about a tutorial of , DO IT LIKE THIS FOR BEST RESULTS. That would truly be helpful. Hows it working for you ? Are you a true master or are you just dabbling around putting down others seeking the path?

A profound and needed video. You state things well and keep your terms simple and direct which is not easy to do.

I too felt this hesitation in reading too far ahead, especially the later books. Thanks for the reassurance Martin
I also didn't complete the book for a very long time. I think I finally read it maybe a year ago. I don't know why I had this mental barrier.
I felt this way at one time. But trust me, when you read ahead there are tips and hints to exercises you are working on.
