Thank you! Yeah, I really enjoyed Amsterdam, and while I did go to some of the top tourist spots on other days, I at least wanted to showcase something different with this video.
I loved Amsterdam. I stayed in a nice hotel on Herengracht. Huge windows afforded beautiful views of the canal and the light shining across the canal. I don't remember the restaurant but I had chicken and it was the most tasty I maybe ever had. We rented bikes and toured the city for a week. For me one of the highlights was the Anne Frank museum. My goodness, what it must have been like for that family to sadiy be hiding in those dark days. You can actually look out her window and see the building across the backyard with a date on it from 16 something. I'm so glad you got to "taste" this most beautiful city. s li What a gem!
Thank you! It was a great trip and I really enjoyed making all of the videos about it. I know what you mean about the breakfast. I'm still thinking about that pancake. It was so good!
Thoroughly enjoyed the entire Amsterdam series. Definitely added some flags to my google maps as a result of your videos, thanks! You were there for 2 weeks…you must have more content.. hope you can share it!
Thank you! That makes me happy to hear! Unfortunately those were the only Netherlands videos I made. I definitely did a lot during my time there, but I didn't film videos every day.
It's great that there are daily direct flights from JFK to Amsterdam. And I'm sure the other two New York airports have similar daily flights as well. It seemed like a very lengthy but adventurous and enjoyable 2 week excursion. Are you going to Japan next? Thanks for the good times Bro!!!!
Thanks for watching! Yeah, it's very easy to get to Amsterdam from NYC. In fact, Delta has a lot of direct flights to Amsterdam from a number of American cities. I definitely want to go to Japan. It just comes down to how much money I have.
Hi- Really enjoy your work- both the reviews and the casual side chats and comments. Thank you. Back to NYC. BTW, I miss New York. Born in the Bronx, nearly 80 now. Still working everyday in Minnesota. Own a historic Bed and Breakfast, Alexander Mansion, in Winona, MN. I too have loved Delmonico's, Keen's and Oyster Bar Also BTW, was in the Stonewall the night of the raid. Oh my those were the days. Anyway, back to a request. Could you pop into Fraunces Tavern and tell us what you think. I remember the great sense of history and really good eating back in the 70's and early 80's. I particularly remember a nice lunch with an old good friend. One other spot you might try out is Café Un Deux Trois on 44th, just off Times Sq. It's a reasonably priced very fun French restaurant, breakfast, lunch and dinner, great pre and post theater supper, lively, and large with it's own unique personality. You'll enjoy it- I think Finally, If you're ever motivated to freeze your ass off come see us in Winona, MN- yes Winona Ryder is named after this town- she has stayed here. Anyway we're know for rather large, very satisfying breakfasts. You can check us out on TripAdvisor. Thanks again for your entertaining reports and good work. Best wishes, Rich
Thanks for watching and the recommendations! Yeah, I've always wanted to check out Fraunces Tavern. I'll definitely make a video about it when I do. That French restaurant sounds like a place that I would like as well. I'll make sure to keep it in mind.
Nice! Yeah, it was my sister's birthday a few days before and with the time difference and all of the stuff going on I was worried that I might forget, but luckily I didn't. Absolutely, Amsterdam is a beautiful place!
@@Jamesnu I get it, I used to go to Las Vegas alone if I couldn’t find a friend that could go. LV to me now is just a tourist trap with them charging for everything they can think of.
@@countalucard4226 Yeah, it used to be a great place to get your money's worth, especially if you didn't gamble, but I know what you mean. I like Vegas, but it can be pretty costly.
A pancake bakery AND a stroopwafel shop - I can't imagine that it gets any better than that!
I know right! My stomach was very happy that day!
I’m so glad you did different things than all the other tourists and gave your viewers a different view of my hometown :)
Thank you! Yeah, I really enjoyed Amsterdam, and while I did go to some of the top tourist spots on other days, I at least wanted to showcase something different with this video.
My favorite city hands down! Every time I go it's something new. Thank you for giving me some more ideas.
Thanks for watching! Yeah, Amsterdam is a very special place!

Thanks for these Amsterdam videos. We plan to visit soon and it’s nice to see some of it through your eyes (and stomach)
Thank you for watching! I hope you enjoy Amsterdam as much as I did! It was an amazing place!
You are amazing rhank you
That's very nice of you to say! Thank you so much!
You sure covered a lot within 2 week! The videos you put together are very well done! Keep up the good work and by the way nice shirt!
Thank you! Yeah, it took a lot to put those videos together, but it was a great trip in the end!
I love how honest you were with regards to a possible third drink😭😭😭😭 and really needing food in your system 🤣 hilarious
Haha! A third drink was tempting. That bar was really nice and so much more affordable than NYC, but I had to do the responsible thing.

Well done, I hope to visit there someday, one of my top to go bucket list cities.

It sure was! It really was a great day of eating!
I really enjoyed your video and very resourceful for my trip plan 👍 is it still cold out there?
Thank you so much! I think it's warmer now. I hope you enjoy your trip!
Nice video! We ate at the pancake house back in the 1980s. What’s with the places without restrooms? That’s a big drag.
Thank you! Yeah, finding restrooms in an unfamiliar place can definitely be a hassle.
What do you do for a living @james andrew?
I do a couple of things with photography.
I love Amsterdam
It's a great city for sure!
Oh shit I went there. Had no idea it was a famous place lol
Haha!
What a beautiful city. Random fact... October 26 is my parents anniversary!
Nice! Yeah, it was my sister's birthday a few days before and with the time difference and all of the stuff going on I was worried that I might forget, but luckily I didn't. Absolutely, Amsterdam is a beautiful place!
Do you travel alone?
Most of the time, but I usually meet people along the way or I join a group tour. I definitely like the independence I get when traveling alone.

Did you save this video for after you met Paris Hilton?
Haha! No, it was more of a coincidence. I forgot I was wearing that shirt for the video.
What’s with these restaurants that don’t have a bathroom or no take away? That’s unacceptable.
Yeah, it can be frustrating at times, especially for tourists that aren't familiar with the city and aren't familiar with the nearest washrooms.
