  • Beneath the Canopy was commissioned as a flex band piece first and then made into a full band version. In this episode, I talk about the inspiration behind the piece, how it was all created based on one melody, and encourage folks to make connections between nature and music.

What a coincidence! I’ll be conducting this piece for my conducting class next week! It's nice to have recent commentary from the composer herself! Loving studying the score!

Hi Cait! I am a 7th Grade clarinet player in Edmond, Oklahoma, and I was the 1st chair clarinet in the CODA Regional Honor Band. We premiered The Journey Begins, the intro music to this! I just want you to know that I had so much fun playing your piece, and it was really cool getting to see you on FaceTime! Keep on making great music!

Your music is great! Me and another composer are headed to Waterloo in a little under two weeks. CJT is performing one of his compositions. Are you interested in doing a podcast episode?
