    Hi Cait! I am a 7th Grade clarinet player in Edmond, Oklahoma, and I was the 1st chair clarinet in the CODA Regional Honor Band. We premiered The Journey Begins, the intro music to this! Considering the very expensive microphones seen in the video, it's a great pity that the sound is from the video recorder. It's not that hard to synchronize the audio file with the video file, if there's a will to do it.

    • @CaitNishimuraMusic
      @CaitNishimuraMusic ปีที่แล้ว

      I would have happily synchronized it if the audio file were provided to me at the time. Composers often have to take what we can get in terms of recordings. I’m hoping to update this one when I can!

    What’s interesting is at 0:55 , the trumpets went up the octave. That is how it is written in the conductor score, but in trumpet it is written down an octave from what they played.

    Just played this piece in my junior honours band. Absolutely beautiful. I found some parts difficult, but in the end, it worked out. I love how it seems upbeat at first but starts to become almost more emotional as it goes, especially at D. Everything was so amazing and you definitely deserve to be more well known. Keep it up, Cait!
