When watching these older performances of Celine, it reminds me why she has dominated to world of music like she did and still does. Celine was raised 10 minutes drive from my actual home. She was born on March 30, 1968, in Charlemagne, Quebec, Canada. The youngest of 14 children of Adhemar and Therese Dion, she grew up in a close-knit musical family. Her parents formed a singing group, Dion's Family, and they toured Canada when Dion was still an infant. They later opened a piano bar, where the 5-year-old Dion would perform to the delight of customers. Very proud that such an artist from my little French spoken language community got so much success and represents us so well.
