Ok, hands down, this is the best sounding street 3.5 VQ that exists on TH-cam. Sounds like a proper race car, even close to 911 RSR. Motordyne is the unsung hero.

VQs are the best sounding NA 6 Cylinders when done right. Not every Z is straight piped
The key factor to make a vq engine sound more unique is a pair of quality aftermarket headers. My 350z has Z1 headers matched with the Z1 Single Exit and the headers made a big difference in changing the tone of the exhaust on my car. The headers made the car sound like a race car with an Inline 6 Cylinder Engine. Although this is a tough job to do, the headers were one of my top 3 favorite mods done to the car.
Speeder105 nice, I went with Stillen mild steel headers and test pipes to keep it from getting raspy, exits through an Invidia Q300.
Speeder105 also, getting resonated test pipes will help reduce that annoying rasp. Art pipes are usually the way to go if you want more volume without more rasp.
@@IScoreUnderPressure4 When it comes to reducing the exhaust rasp with Resonated Test Pipes or Art Pipes, that strongly depends on how the rest of the exhaust is matched. A Resonated Y-pipe and/or a quality catback exhaust setup makes a bigger difference in cutting down the rasp than just with art pipes or resonated test pipes. I've witness a few 350z in person that just had non resonated test pipes/headers combo or even long tube headers with quality catback and Resonated Y-pipe setups.
Speeder105 true, but I’m saying that resonated test pipes generally will sound better than non resonated test pipes. For instance, the motordyne catback will sound better with art pipes than it would with any non resonated test pipes.
Oh hell yeah it's worth every penny from my experience. You got to love the sound of that six symphony 💕

I have a titanium exhaust from ISR Performance for the 350z that sounds better than the Nopei exhaust. My car also a Dual Resonated Test Pipes and Dual Resonated Y-pipe. My car with the Z1 headers now has very little rasp.

I use to have a tomei and it was so bad
I couldn’t even talk to a passenger
With this exhaust it’s a lot easier to talk and the drone is not as bad
