- Organist Anna Lapwood has been playing music at the Royal Albert Hall in London for some time, usually late at night. She's garnered a large following on TikTok, and even attracted the attention of other artists. Ian Lee has more from London.

I’ve followed Anna for a while, she’s so incredibly talented.
For thoise that don't realise, this is her practice time on that organ. Once or twice a month, from about midnight to 6am she's in there practicing. It's the only time she can as the building is in use at pretty much any other time.
I play the organ and I have to say that I enjoy hearing Anna play this wonderful instrument. I wish all communities will support organs especially pipe organs in their communities so that they don't feel like they haven't touched them. Shame on those who want nothing to do with the organs as they abandoned them.
This was BEAUTIFUL! My uncle was a concert organist many years ago. I think he would have loved this!
Anna is the best. She inspires the schools aged kids with their music endeavors. 🎼
She is truly amazing. Love her music!
She is the best, tremendous skill. Keep it up you are appreciated more than you will ever know.
I get goosebumps every time i hear her play.
So badass. How is that not echoing through the streets of London? Does the Royal Albert Hall just have some kind of perfectly contained acoustics or something? Seems like it would be loud outside the building when the building itself is the amplifier. Either way, this is the coolest, sexiest thing ever.
It's in a part of central London that's not got a lot of residential buildings. But also yes I think it's acoustics are pretty amazing.
@@johnmunro4952it is surrounded by residential buildings on two sides... but it's a detached, freestanding building, and the auditorium is completely surrounded by corridors, so not a lot of sound leakage outside.
such a beautiful talented lady
She is very gifted. 😊
Brilliant!!! Bravo!!!👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
You go girl!! Yay Anna!
Anna’s an incredibly talented musician - love when she posts new videos, such a treat to listen to her play
And such a lovely, humble woman. I love her :)
You are a Truly Great Ambassador for the Organ
Anna is amazing!
GREAT! IWISH I COULD HAVE A PLAY ON THAT MARVELLOUS INSTRUMENT! I HAD MUSIC LESSONS WHILE STILL YOUNG!
Good for Anna, mainstream media takes note!
'It's organ, organ all the time with her - - - - - -!!! She's a Martyr to music. ( thanks Dylan T)
Perhaps she'll play the Wanamaker's Organ at Macy's in Philadelphia!
The bonobo thing still makes my eyes watery. Closest thing I've had to a religious experience...
...it happened totally organically (she didn't even notice the pun herself) 2:27
Thats Jounalism..no bias spin fakism bent or coloring outside the lines. Just positive musical audio video vibration n human nature
"Good good good, good vibrations "
Wow,great is the name of the lord
Bravo!!! 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
Great job but how about wooly bully watch now
I wonder if she has to pay to use it. It runs up quite a utility bill.
Probably. But it's practice for her job, not just goofing off for no reason. 🤷🏻♂️
I'm an organist, and I've been told by an organbuilder that most pipe organs don't cost any more to run than running a vacuum cleaner, because most pipe organs run on a single centrifugal blower. The organ at the Royal Albert Hall may be the equivalent of 3 vacuum cleaners running, but still not that much.
@@organist1982 ok.
Unlikely. She was appointed by the RAH as an associate artist, one of four charged with reaching younger audiences.
Very American question. What's the cost rather than what's the value?
