    I was expecting more out of the drums on this new album, I saw Alex play when he was in Suicide Silence and he is a beast. Also I don't think Tatiana was looking to shake anything up here, she grew up as a fan of POD so this was just her getting to work with some of her heroes

    Tatiana is a powerhouse, she should’ve had a solo part where she goes hard with harsh vocals. That chorus isn’t doing them any favors either, feels too safe.

      You're right. They should have given Tatiana a solo that was more than singing chorus or backup.

    man, POD was my first favorite band and I've rode with em for a long time from the Snuff the Punk days but these new releases just lack the charisma and the spark that I know them for. I don't know if I would say it feels forced, but it's definitely lacking something. Still love my boys, and I appreciate y'all for checking them out!

    At the beginning my first thought was: Oh, sounds a bit like Korn. This feeling didn't leave me until the end XD I like it a lot

    I used to love POD. Satellite and Fundamental Elements of Southtown were two of the best nu-metal albums ever made. But they’ve just gotten more and more simplistic and cheesy as time goes on. But I can’t think of a single nu metal band that has decided to keep making music for a long time after the nu metal craze died down like POD has, that hasn’t done the same thing…

    Imho top 10 P.O.D. song. I like the song much more than I hoped. Surely it´s better than Drop (still like it too) as Afraid to Die is imho their best on the new album and the best thing from songs on Murdered Love. Appreciate you point of view, but personally I have a different one.

    I think he's doing that on purpose to be off beat(Tech N9ne does the same)? I love the charisma in this song, it's obviously a song to the people around the world fighting for what they believe in. Regardless of what we think. This band is special to me, I grew up in a heavily Christian family, my dad's a Pentecostal bishop (and theologian) lol. They were missionaries in Eastern Europe for 12 years(I lived there for 8), full time. I may have converted to Judaism(not religious at all anymore) so it hits diff for me lol. I have heavy bias so I get what you are saying as well.

    This is POD, this anthemic chorus is amazing, they are one of the best Christian nu metal bands

    I never really was a fan of POD I just knew a few of the big hits I’m more here for Tatiana and I think they should have given her a bigger part she basically just whispered the whole time but then again she would have stole the spotlight from the band. I would love to see some Jinjer reactions from you guys 😅

    I'm not completely sold on this one. I would've liked to hear more from Tatiana's harsh vocals

    i also had high hopes for this, grew up hearing pod on the radio and jinjer has been my fav band for years. Same with lamb of god. These two songs could have been amazing but in the end just felt like they were playing it safe and maybe not allowing enough creative freedom from the guest vocalists. When i heard guest vocalists randy and tati on this album i immediately thought that would be dope if they had a tour together. Guess well see if that ever happens. Still not a bad song just short and meh.

    man...i grew up a HUGE fan of this band. i absolutely LOVED their record with Jason Truby on guitar. their new stuff has just been very "meh" for me though. like...i'm having to search for bits and pieces i like.

    The chorus is pretty lame to me, I expected her to have a powerful voice, with some scream or an extended range but there aren't any variations at all. The melody is powerful but it doesn't go anywhere, again. The beginning was good, really but it gave me even more expectations and they were all disappointed. Although P.O.D. can be freaking cool

    Used to love POD. I think they need to find something that resonates within. Their old music had deep messages and hit hard. Terrible waste of Tati

    His flow is like he’s trying to be syncopated, but then it’s like a word sneaks up with too many syllables or a line with too many words and he has to cram it in before the next bar starts. I loved POD back in the day, but this ain’t doin it for me. Agree with others that this was a waste of Tati too…

      As much as I love P.o.D. (bought all their albums up to Murdered Love), Sonny never was rhythmically accurate. In many live shows, he gets out of breath rapping Boom and leaves out words here and there to catch his breath. Don't get me wrong, I still love them, but he is more of an eclectic front man with hit-and-miss moments rather than technically precise.

    Love P.O.D., grew up with this band, one of the pillars of nu metal/rap core.. but dude they went downhill since the return of Marcus to the band, they should've kept Truby.. he elevated the sound of the band, it felt like a new level for them.. now it all just sounds empty and hollow (last couple of albums and last songs did nothing for me). Too bad but good for them I guess

    • @fragezeichenwenn
      @fragezeichenwenn 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah, the last highlight album for me was Murdered Love - all albums after that had a decent song or two, but mostly not convincing in the overall performance. But I respect that they are still in the game and trying - it is quite an achievement to stay in the game that long and still be relevant.

    I havn't listened to P.O.D. in years and now having checked out the 2 new tracks the question they leave me with is... Have P.O.D. always been so "simple" in their lyrics??? I mean they are down right boring and repeated to much.

  • @jesusdelarosa1204
    @jesusdelarosa1204 ปีที่แล้ว

    Drop is one of the worst POD songs... It's trying to do a Dirty Rotten Bizkit... Awful.... Now with Tati (one of the best metal vocalist in the industry) it's very underused... Sorry I grew up listening to this guys but....

  • @troythompson8683

    You like Boom but not Drop, then they get lyrical on this and you still don't like it. They can't do Alive or Youth of the Nation again...what do you guys want?! These last two P.O.D. reactions have turned me off your channel, you usually are so positive. It was a good run, later dudes.👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻

    • @jhamilton1007
      @jhamilton1007 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It would be pretty boring if they liked everything.

    • @troythompson8683
      @troythompson8683 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jhamilton1007 This is the most negative I've seen them be and liking things is not boring. I find if you give most things a chance you can learn to like it. I used to hate Nickelback and now I'm excited to see them live next year. You are entitled to your opinion though, I just think there are enough channels shitting on things and I consistently checked out their reviews because of the good nature they approach them with but now they are becoming like all the others, that's boring to me.

    • @alice0098
      @alice0098 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I think it’s refreshing that they were honest here and it was pretty clear watching the video how kinda bored they were.
      I agree with them. These P.O.D. singles are very forgettable.
      Personally I feel P.O.D. are stuck in the mid 2000s with their sound/songwriting. Music has evolved but they haven’t.
      Let’s be honest their best music is behind them.
