When Jonny and Jim lock up their perfect 5th at around 2:11, they start making undertones. And no, I don't mean the screaming overtones that are also audible. Listen carefully for the octave BELOW Jim's bass note. It's there at around 2:14. You should probably use headphones to hear it. Oh, I think the last note, too, around 2:24. So freaking cool! If you've never heard an undertone, now's your chance.
This is one of my favorite songs they do and Jim filled in great. They just look like they're about to get an Old Tyme Photo taken in front of that backdrop.
Our bass is sick! What should we do? Should we cancel the show? No, let's just ask the bass of the Gas House Gang and Crossroads to fill in if he's not busy. He's our director? Oh, ok, that works. Such is the wonderful life of my favorite quartet, Vocal Spectrum.
I'm sorry, but what about Kipp Buckner? The list goes on and on for great tenors, and I have to say, I prefer Kipp to Tim, I think he just has the insane ability to blend with whatever quartet he's in, and that's invaluable.
00:37 is it me or did the bass seem a little flat? Not bashing, just curious.. I'm looking into doing this as a multi-track and enjoy VS's rendition of this wonderful song.
You are using tangible items to justify greatness. As Jim once said, Its not the Gold Medals that are important, but rather the Gold Medal Moments. I agree Ox is phenomenal. Anyone can come out with their own fantasy quartet, many would be very different from each other. Also, comparing Jim to Ox is comparing Apples to Oranges, Jim has taken the role of Director with some quartet ventures, while Ox has taken a more quartet role with some directing, including his Gold with Masters.
i cant even imagine how awesome it would be to sing with jim henry....
They were all locked the entire tag it was epic wow.

I heard the only thing Chuck Norris fears is Jim Henry.
Sound isn’t working on the app for me
Thee times if you count his directing the Ambassadors of Harmony to the choral gold...and I do.
The first song ever to make me cry.... and i'm 18
i guess this is the only video of them doing Mam'selle live?
