everything has a shelf life. the bbc milked crouch for a 2 year period (he was on everything, even that post-euros mess of a show) and that was that.
Unfortunately, Statman Dave adds very little. They'd be better off getting one of Crouchy's old schoolmates on and allowing the conversation to flow naturally again with someone he knows well, rather than forcing it.
Took the words right out of my mouth. The original trio is a bit like top gear, a combination of personalites that turns into a certain vibe, it cant be manufactured.
Shows need to try new formulas and people go off and do other things
