- Between a rise in condos and the pandemic puppy boom, the number of dogs in the city is surging and off-leash areas are under strain. Some want to know why Toronto doesn't have a master plan like they do in other Canadian cities.

I know that Toronto has a lot of first world problems, but humans should be first, there is a lot of homeless people out there...

Humans take priority over animals. Vancouver, in particular, has a serious homeless problem and drug epidemic.

i grew up in riverdale in the 1960s when dogs were still free roaming and no stoop and scoop bylaws. personally, i preferred that approach, kids and dogs learned how to interact with each other, dogs got plenty of socialisation with other dogs, and streets were full of life. everything has been separated and stifled. i pity any dog or kid in riverdale now compared to then
