My BROTHER took me to a carshow in 1984 OR 85 in Rotterdam i still got pictures.i was 10years old😅👍🏽KEEP IT as it is its beautyfull👍🏽and OUTRUN ofcourse made me love the car.also a red COUNTACH on the picture 👍🏽👍🏽 LOVE THE CONTENT 👌🏽👍🏽
Personally, I love the direction the channel has taken; these are exactly the cars I lust over and want to see. I would expect you to likely pick up subs from Harry’s Garage, even if you lose those that sub to Mr. Jww. Just to add…I think your philosophy regarding how you care and enjoy your cars is spot-on. Great video, cheers!
Nothing more to say. 80's icon, side strakes, Miami Vice. I spent my childhood watching that. The Testarossa in Miami Vice was black for one episode (Liam Neeson drove it as a bad guy), they resprayed it white and gave it to Crockett after blowing up the fake Daytona so in white it would look better in the night shots (Michael Mann being into night scenes). I spent every Thursday afternoon in 1986/87 playing Outrun down at Roddy's arcade in Stockport when I should have been in woodwork class.. My favourite car of the 80's (F40 aside). Top purchase Tom.
To be honest I can't fault you. I bought a 360 spider a few years back and after a couple of years now and after owning the car 6 years I just baby it. I just drive it when I want to and only take it out when I want to but cover 500 to 1000 miles every year. At the end of the day its yours, you work for it and do with it exactly as you please.
I took my testarossa way above the arctic circle in mid winter. I parked it outdoors in the arctic cold and it always started, defrosted all windows in a heartbeat and went on to deliver another day's impeccable driving.
@@justsomeguy1141 love that monkey.. imagine seeing Tom Harry & Chris on a road trip together.. driving their testarossa’s Grand Tour style across country that would make epic content..
18:49 All TR's seem to be that way. I've driven the 512m for some time, and despite being the final and refined evolution in the TR family, the brakes never really have that sure feeling stopping power. You gotta nearly stand on them to get any real stopping power out of them.
I am 72 and I have loved that car since I first saw one this video is just WOW for me I will never own one but I will always love them......thank you for sharing...
Great review mate, glad you have found such a fantastic example! Video was on point, editing, sound and camera angles all did the car justice. Keep enjoying the heck out of her!
Love the classic content! It’s the history & the stories that the cars bring with them that I love learning about. And also to see the resto’s coming along too has been awesome, great to see the work and transformations. Keep doing you Tom and keep up the great work, your channel just keeps getting better and better!! 👌🏻
ive owned a lot of cars from other ferrari's to my corvettes and honestly, nothing gives me the feeling of my TR and none of them get more looks and compliments than my TR. All I've done was put 18in rims and modern day tires along with an exhaust and its perfect. You feel the road. You drive it and you get feedback ( not as raw as an F40 but similar) I do have the upgrade TR where you get the upgraded cooling, A/C and 5 lug rims but still, the heavy steering until you are moving is just amazing. (The best was the original "car phone" it came with along with the CD changer LOL) Kept it all but upgraded the stereo.
Amazing car. I remember drawing one in art class at school. I probably put more effort into that car drawing than anything i've ever done. The exterior is classic. Amazing. The interior is strange looking by any standard. the seats are hilarious looking. bonkers sums it up perfectly. love it.
Rate the attitude to the cars you buy and that you don’t care about the views. All your classic purchases imo are cash and I find it refreshing to see content like this rather than just more supercars tbh
Stunning car , love the interior It would be nice to hear some more flat twelve noise in future videos personally I love the cars your buying , keep up The good work !
Yep, I’m on board with the Red Head ❤️🇮🇹 since it’s release in 84, I’ve loved them, disregarded them and loved them again. Some of the love could be attributed to Harry’s desert run but I think my age has me looking back fondly of a golden era. Ditch the modern stuff and get yourself more of this 👍
Absolutely true point made. How can the Countach, a car factually worse to drive, maintain and purposefully built to only "look good" (which does exquisitely well) can be sold for x3 and x4 times the price of a Testarossa?
Loving seeing more classics on the channel, and on TH-cam. Definitely think the 355 GTS from your Classics Auction video needs to be in your garage as well.
What an utterly gorgeous and beautiful car. And fair play to you - I know those roads well, and I think it's quite rare to arrive home with all 4 wheels still attached, let alone have all of them still pointing in the right direction! They make the surface of the Moon look mirror-smooth
Great vid Tom, I love the Testarossa too, along with the Lamborghini Countach and look how prices of those have blown up.... both real big poster cars on my wall when growing up.
Another really great video Tom tge. I love ferraris that is a great looking classic ferrari and sounds great as well. It suits you. Keep it on the channel more often. Looks awesome cash. Great video mate. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😎😎😎😎😀😀From Dan. M
My friend has a 1990 model and it’s a workout to drive with the steering and clutch being heavy. Otherwise, it’s such a visual stunner with the side rakes and rear end.
Love the classic content! Big respect you keep going with it even if it costs you money. Love the Targa more as am a Porsche nerd but this is stunning.
This videos is epic, I love it. The car is amazing! So good to see it on the country roads, looking so good. Another epic Tom video! Your killing it with your content it’s amazing
Looks stunning Tom. Made up for ya mate……. Also Tom loving your videography looking so much more professional now than a normal TH-camr that you get every day…. Keep up the good work mate
Great video on a true 80’s icon. Love to see more vids on modern classics. My poster car used to be a Countach until I was lucky enough to get a few rides in one both on road and track. The Testarossa is a far nicer and more comfortable cabin to spend time in. Not to mention that visibility out is way better.
This channel’s business model shift is very clever. Very, very well done the move from where you were to here. Hats off. Fair play for being so subtly open about it over time as well.* *This may have been down to my slowness of understanding.
Lovely car and spec and i have to agree everyone loves a Testarossa.I think its a safe bet especially in spec and condition its in.You buy and film it and we shall watch it👍
Lovely video Tom. Great to see you are building up some classic cars in your collection. I was wondering what plans you have for when E10 fuel hits the UK. Have you been advised by anyone if your older cars will be able to run on this fuel?
Excellent video. Reminds me of my time behind the wheel of a later model car seeing what it was all about many years ago. No comparison at all really 355 versus Testarossa. As a special occasion car now the Testarossa is the one. Ah "Out Run"! Pleased to see TGE out and about enjoying this car. As they said in the game "Keep it up!" Thank you.
The driving position is really ISA (Italilan Standard Ape). You need long hands and short legs and still the steering wheel is like in a truck. I think they got it right only in the 458 Italia. I think you could do a little steering column extension.
Very few cars place a 12 cylinder Ferrari engine right behind the kidneys of a driver. And one penned by Leonardo Fioravanti, who was at at Pininfarina during that era. Mid engined cars are a blast to drive. Cherish it.
Lovely footage of an absolute classic on the classic roads of Surrey :-) Mid life crisis in full swing but sights set on the slightly more lowly golf GTI. Maybe I’ll aim higher in the name of investment.. great channel. Cheers
@tge are you still keeping it? Paid a deposit for the black TR one today. Have auto gearbox license only but buying this one. Booked my test drive in Liverpool to have it quicker (live in London) for March but want to drive it already. Hope I will not regret.
Hello Good Sir, iconic Italian GT car with an awesome driving position and a big fun review video. Now, about that future Porsche 968 in Speed Yellow 😎 Thank you!
Lovely car, very 80s, remember the first one I saw on the road in Cornwall and head turning looks. It’s predecessor the 512 BB was some machine as well, the motoring press were pretty universal in loving that car and given the bold styling of the Testerossa took a while to get used to its looks albeit maybe tamer than the Countach..
Wing mirrors …for those of a certain age …were actually on the front wings…as strangely named…Of course in those days actual wings were only found on planes, race cars and the odd Countach
Sick car, loving these 80's/90's icons as its what i grew up with as well. Watching films like the cannonball run 🙌 Countach/F40 were my poster cars. 993 turbo as well from the bad boyz film
Very nice car from the 80’s I still prefer the Ferrari 355 from the 90’s which is one of the best looking cars ever made by Ferrari and was once considered the best car in the world by the one and only Jeremy Clarkson
10:30 It's so true about it being not so noisy and shouty and being respected. Though I owned a 911 I don't have special exhaust put on because I don't want to attract unwanted attention. I drive responsibly in the city, especially in residential and downtown area. Supercars are loud enough visually and the last thing I want is to show off unnecessary like an idiot desperate for attention. There's a place for that. Out in the country side without any traffic or pedestrians. The Testarossa is one car I hope to own one day too. I really want a 512 but I don't think my budget will ever allow that.

Love the comments at 23:45. I did exactly all those things growing up ! That’s why the testarossa is so special !
Driving a TR wearing a Patek, just call him Wolf of Wall Street!
Handlebar moustache when driving a retro Ferrari please, Tom.

One of my favourite childhood memories was just standing next to a Testarossa! Congrats on the car...proper poster car, love!
As you’ve said Tom, one of the most iconic cars. It works from both a heart and head perspective, enjoy the drives and the appreciation.
That one wing mirror is killing my OCD!! 😩😂😂😂
It's like the cars giving the driver a high 5 ✋

I always imagined the Testarossa to be like driving a barge in the real world so that's great that it isn't, brilliant video
