i understand this is a practice, however the conflict management procedure needs to be questioned. You've got an agitated customer who needs his coat immediately to get off the premises, if from your initial assessment he's drunk and trying to claim something which is not his then you're right. Also if there an ID in the Jacket you need to confirm whether it belongs to him, i'am assuming there a log book, that could be of help. I also disagree to the fact that he said the CCTV would prove it's not his.- due to similarity at least give it a try. No company would like to make their customers furious. All the best LSC🤓.
