It wasn't long she came back home. I said that was quick. She said everybody was gathered around. The manager went to get the cart and came back saying everybody go home, no loss prevention training video today. Somebody stole it! TV, VCR, Tape and cart.
If the retailer was smart, they wouldn’t give him a receipt back, but he’d still get the merchandise to freely walk out with, should loss prevention not catch on to what he was doing.
How most loss prevention employees work: -Individual shops pays and exits -overweight dude who thinks he’s a cop for working 36 hours at a store playing CIA-“yo DuDe eMpTy YoUr BaG I ain’t playing” -proceeds to badger the shopper, calls cops and says “thanks for the backup”
This training helps a lot, you can't imagine when new colleagues or cashiers come in and there are managers who don't even bother to train them, this video would not help to eliminate thefts at all, it depends on practice, but it would reduce them with these first-rate ideas hand and easy disposal
I really enjoyed this video I work in retail and this is a great training video to watch so I can be a great employee I try my very best to watch out for thieft thank you for making this video I'm sure it will help many employees do a better job we all need to work together to stop thief
I love how when they play the Psycho "murder" theme at 4:35, they just ripped it from the actual movie because you can actually hear the character in the film (Arbogast) falling down the stairs as he gets stabbed during that scene, and his scream at the end. Not sticking up for the criminals or something but if they didn't make you such junk these days people wouldn't have to get two or three of the sameitem because they don't even make it through warranty half the time without breaking especially TVs,boy I sure miss the days when you would buy a television and it would last at least 20 years before you had any problems with it
How is that a good idea or policy? All the thief has to do is, - take a photo of the signature with their phone(depending on how old this video is) -bring a magic marker or buy one and copy the signature. Maybe using different cashier to mix things up
...and this is WHY i went to Home Depot in Desoto, Texas a few years ago... to try to buy a lawn mower that showed there were 5 in stock on the floor....i had 4 people searching and nobody could find even one for me to buy...i realized it was probably a buy one...and take all four scam...just like this.

It's gotten more difficult lately but there are still better ways. This guy is doing too much. You go in and get what you want and you leave... the faster you are the better. And to go very early or right before they close...loss prevention is less likely to be there. I don't do that anymore though lol

Dyson vacuum cleaners and the robot vacuums from Target. And sometimes we would have a specific request... like once the dope boy wanted a basketball hoop lol.
Technically the vacuum was $119.99. The price tag on the item was $29.99. So if you take the full value of the vacuum and add the 119.99 instead of the $90.00 difference the total stock saved would be $795.12 instead of $765.13. Loss prevention would want the full value of the item not the price difference between the tag and what is was marked for.
That's a honest mistake for her not to think that he didn't come back into the store with the same item... Walmart does not pay anyone enough to check inside the bag anymore... and if you do report it might be your job, I done seen this happen so many times... that's loss prevention job... like at the casino my cousin got robbed by one of our neighbors at her cage... grand casino to be correct and she ran behind them to stop the robbers and got fired
