Thought on those who received miraculous miracles....the woman who spent all her money on physicians who suffered for 12 years, she was healed of her blood issues. I was like her. After having a cronic, severe blood disease for 15 years, having gone through 11 chemo treatments, having an organ surgically removed, and finally having my 6th oncologist say, "there is nothing more I can do for you," I was sent home to die. Only after all I could do did the miracle happen. I was literally touched by the had of God and healed. I have been in perfect health from that moment on. God knows us and what we are going through. He allows us to struggle to help us grow. If it is His well that we live, we will receive the healing.

@jeaniehyer, that is exactly what I thought when Randy asked the question.. How will the tribulations empower our access to miracles. When we suffer, we will have no place to go but to Him who is the source of miracles.. and then He will heal us. THEN WE WILL KNOW OF ASSURITY.. that He is our God and He will save and heal us. We will doubt nothing wavering.. and we will be able to go forward, armed with great power, His power.. to do anything that he asks of us.

I believe that “The Tribulations”will test our faith to see if we, when things get real, are willing to sacrifice and consecrate everything to the cause of building Zion. The miracles, performed on behalf of individuals who faithfully and gladly endure the severe trials, will be the ascension to a higher spiritual level in the fulness of the holy priesthood to become Kings and Queens of the Gentiles if they so desire. Some of the miracles performed by yet unrevealed special servants of the Lord, will serve to ease the physical and spiritual burdens imposed upon the saints as a whole during the worst parts of the tribulations, thus increasing the faith of the body of the saints which will also include “saints” (the humble followers of Christ) who are not currently Latter-Day-Saints.

I agree with your thoughts here. It makes me wonder about ascension and if in the premortal world we experienced such trials to become a noble and great one before coming to earth. And here we are on earth going through another ascension phase. It will take every ounce of faith we can muster to accomplish this near impossible mission set before us. We certainly can’t do this without promised Heavenly help. 🙏🏻

❤Thank you. One of my greatest trials was having a baby 7 1/2 weeks early placenta previa. I lost two units of blood and the baby was 4 and 1/2 pounds. It was before the days of life saving equipment used now. I was told five years earlier we both would have died due to unadvanced technology. For three days the Pediatrician came in and said my baby wouldn't make it through the day. My father received Priesthood counsel to bless the baby every day which he did for 21 days when the baby was sent home still at the same weight but breathing on his own. I know the blessings every day kept our baby alive and the family's prayers. In our worst hour the Lord reached down and saved lives.

My tribulations have caused me to increase the frequency, the fervency, and the urgency of my prayers. I don't think i would be seeking Jesus Christ and His healing grace and Atonement as intensely if my life wasn't so full of extreme difficulties. Ive been pushed to my physical, mental, emotional and spiritual limits, that I can't possibly go on without the help of the Savior. I truly need the Savior every hour, day and night.
If my life suddenly had everything I have constantly asked for, would I still pray as intensely and sincerely? A few years ago I probably would have answered, "oh sure, I would!" But really wouldn't. Now I feel, after a decade a constant pain and discomfort and the subsequent prayers and crying out to the Lord, I would fear for my soul not to continue seeking for the Lord to guide me and direct me and heal me, regardless of my circumstances. I'm still suffering physically, but I have certainly felt healed spiritually and sustained in every other way.
Our trials and tribulations are designed to increase our faith and trust in the Lord. If our faith in Jesus Christ increases, will not the miracles increase as well?

Hi Randy. I love your channel and this episode is quite serendipitous for me! I just listened recently to the Shattering Triangles podcast episode on Becoming Kings and Queens. I had heard that phrase but it was something that was never taught and I never researched it. The host, Cameron, mentioned a book by Avraham Gileadi called Endtime Prophecy, where the concept of suffering, becoming types of saviors, and becoming kings and queens is discussed. He discusses the patterns of the scriptures and ancient culture of kings and vassals and how the vassal had to obey the king, and the subjects of the vassal had to obey him. If the vassal's subjects were unrughteous or broke the law, the vassal had to answer for it tonthe king. The king was bound to offer PROTECTION against invaders etc. Pretty fascinating pattern. Avraham of course discusses Moses, Abraham, Noah and other examples from thr scriptures. I'm just barely learning about all this so my first listen is kind of a skim thru. But its amazing to realize these concepts. I thought also of the episode you did with your wife where you discussed suffering that we may have agreed to in premortality. That was an insightful episode for me. Thanks so much for these videos. It is helping me learn things I never would have any other way.

Tribulations brought me to the understanding of my plight as a natural man. I knew how badly I needed to be saved. This brought me to months and months of sincere repentance which when accepted by God, brought me through the gate. The keeper of the gate is Christ and he performs the new birth or spiritual rebirth that is tangible and undeniable event that converts and heals it gives a new heart through a knowledge of not only the remission of sins but the experience leaves no doubt of God and His Son, as our spirit is baptized in warm loving fire, we experience unspeakable joy and know then that He truly lives. Trials were key to the promise of salvation if I now endure in this.

This is a subject desperately needed in our day!
Short answer: Faithfulness is the key variable to qualify for divine power through covenants, not suffering, but suffering is often necessary for faithfulness, so you’ll often see them intertwined.
Miracles require qualification through sanctification and covenant relationships. When we are asked to complete gods work, he provides the means to complete that work (or in other words access to his power) through covenants (promises) given directly to his servants. So suffering is not directly correlated with divine power, but faithfulness often requires a willingness to offer up to god our broken heart and contrite spirit (through sacrifice) to permit the Lord to require suffering of us in the process of completing his work.
Also note: suffering can often be expressed and felt spiritually as much or more than temporally.
Note Alma 8 where Alma suffers sorrow and prays mightily for the wickedness of the people of Ammonihah. He was creating spiritually what would be manifest in miracles later; all the way up to the destruction of the city in chapter 18 just 3 months after the walls of the prison collapsed and killed everyone else and freed Alma and Amulek.

I think the reason why we won’t face any tribulation that we can’t overcome is because we unknowingly were prepared for the specific hardships we would face on earth but we have forgotten that we were fully prepared. We remember that preparation in small parts when we pour our hearts out to God and appeal to the Savior for mercy. Thats the work required of us to receive the assurance that we are prepared for what terrible thing we are going through. It might be the reason why when we hear someone’s life story we think that there’s no way we would have lived through that without being completely broken. It may be because we weren’t prepared to face those things. We were prepared to face our life in all its facets.

I believe that our tribulations act as sanctifying events that will give us the faith we will need to have the greatest miracles ever seen, only great faith can bring about great miracles. So we must therefore go through great tribulations to develop that kind of faith, it is a blessing because it builds stronger faith, as long as we are acting on that faith and being obedient to our covenants.

I have miracles all the time I ask for them and I see the lords hand in my life on a regular basis when I pray I feel they have already come true. I honestly believe my wife controls the weather when she prays for rain or sunshine she always seems to get what she wants. I have come closer to God through using the law of attraction than any other way I remember president Nelson telling us years ago that we need to seek Gods laws and apply them in our lives. I think a lot has to do with me having my own business and relying on Gods hand in my life more so than when I worked a nine to five job. The more I attend the temple and keep my covenants God is always there.

I think miracles come like answers to prayers come. Heavenly Father is already willing to bless us with miracles. They come through grace and His will, but largely as we ask for them. Sometimes we become the beneficiary of others asking for a miracle. It says in 3 Nephi 8 that miracles are performed by those who are cleansed, and I think it's Moroni 7 where it says miracles come by faith.
It'd be interesting to further study your question about the role of tribulation. Tribulation does give us a chance to exercise faith, which is key for miracles to occur.

I love to watch your podcast. I have been sick and almost died from Covid. I have what they call long Covid and I run a business and I have not been able to work for 3 1/2 months. This was not a mild flu for me considering I have scar tissue in my brain and my upper lungs. I still have problems with inflammation and I have to, use a lot of medication‘s, but I have been through many trials. And I do remember the words they apostle. Paul said that when we are weak, then we are strong. Years ago I had busted my leg and they found out. I had an auto immune disease. I ended up getting told by four doctors That they were going to have to take my leg. But these two young missionaries came in and they gave me a blessing and said that I was being sanctified and purified, and that my leg would be made whole. That very night after the blessing, I ended up in the emergency room and I was having a reaction to two animal protein antibiotics they gave me. I’m allergic to penicillin but I’m also allergic to cefdinir and sulfamate. All three are animal protein antibiotics. Again, the doctor in the emergency room said they were going to have to take my leg. My husband said I was patting the back of the doctor and I was saying to him. No you’re not gonna take my leg I was given a blessing by the missionaries, and God is going to make me whole Three days later after nine months suffering, and fighting to save my leg God gave me a miracle. He also wanted me to show that doctor that miracle and I found out that doctor wasn’t inactive. Return Missionarie. I had a liver disease and I was only given nine months again to live. My blessing, said that I would live to a rifle age, I did not feel I was at a rifle age yet. So each weekend I begin to fast and I read everything on believing miracles faith that I could possibly read on after Education Week I went to see the doctor and had one of my friends go with me. We were praying that I would be given a treatment that would last 12 weeks where they lower your immune system to try to kill the disease. there were seven types of my disease and only two types could have the treatment. I thought this Hass to be the way that I’m cured but when Dr. Haido walked in he looked at the report and said oh boy oh boy that didn’t sound good my heart sunk. Then he said you lucky girl. Well, that sounded good. I thought my friend asked him at the same time as I asked a question my question was, can I still get the treatment? I asked him the disease come back because he told me the disease had died. The first question answered, was no the treatment would’ve got her to where she is today and for my question he said he’s never seen the disease die on its own that this was a miracle. When I went to my doctor had referred me over to him. She couldn’t believe that my disease just died and wanted to run all the test again and I told him he already did that day and I gave her permission to take, and look at the test. I went home, and I cried to heaven and I felt that I had learned that miracles take work a work of faith. I did not feel like I had worked hard enough for it showed me all the weekends I had fasted all those studying and prayed, I had done as I studied about miracles and faith and believing And he said that I had worked for it and I deserved this miracle. So I do believe miracles do work that’s what I’ve learned. I’ve asked father if I could be sanctified without having to be brought into so many weaknesses and near death experiences, he finally answered me and showed me that my perfect obedience to the sabbath will teach me how to be sanctified and purified, but that we would still have trials and test because that’s why we came here and we wanted to grow and to understand and comprehend. When Jesus asked each time before he performed a miracle, he would always ask them if they had enough faith. He already knew the answer. He just wanted to show us they had worked for it.

Yes, tribulations always seem to turn people towards the reality of the mortal condition, and subsequently create a cycle of seed planting and faith growing. This is the turning point of events in every pride cycle we see in scripture. The difference this time will be that the tribulations will utterly destroy the wicked, sending them to spiritual prison, while the righteous throughout the world will be rewarded with opportunities to increase their faith beyond anything ever experienced worldwide. As covenant making and keeping disciples of Christ, that opportunity to manifest miracles is amplified according to the faith we exercise. As we learn in the Temple, the knowledge of how to part the veil through faithfulness to those covenants, will actually be the deciding factor of how we bring down and/or recognize the miracles poured out during the coming tribulations. It will be extremely difficult, in my estimation, to rely upon physical/temporal comforts at the peak of the tribulations, and how we are able to hear and feel the guiding influence of the Holy Ghost will be an increasingly critical component to calling down and recognizing the greatest miracles from heaven that the world has ever seen. Rending the veil of unbelief/wrong belief is the hinge upon which that principle hangs. We must have the faith to gain the spiritual knowledge and access to heavenly powers, or we too, will be shaken. As covenant children of God and Christ, we're invited to make those miracles manifest in our day. The degree to which we want to participate in them through our faith, will determine how much we will realize and readily recognize those miracles, and also to have the capacity to share them and show them to others. Many unrepentant and unbelieving people will not see these things as miracles, and as such, they will be caught off guard as though "a thief in the night" broke through, and caught them off guard. The pattern that I can start to see is how this is both the greatness and the terribleness of what lies ahead. God bless you all! Focus on Christ, not the storm! ❤️

Thank you for putting this together. Different people need different afflictions. I have a sister who died at 3 days old. We know from Joseph Smith that she will be saved in the celestial kingdom. Her afflictions are different than ours. I like to compare the gathering to the 4 horses in Revelations 6. Cowboys herd (gather) cattle. The white horse is the establishment of New Jerusalem/Zion. That will be a trial to those who heed the call, having to give up the comforts of home, etc. It will also require much faith that we will be protected in so doing. But the Lord will use afflictions to get even more into Zion, similar to as spoken in Alma 32. There are those who are compelled to be humble. The red horse, war, will afflict others to flee to Zion. The black horse (famine) will afflict even more to flee to Zion and likewise with the pale horse (death) horse. God loves all of us and will afflict us for our own good.

Each experience in this life is for that purpose.. and we are learning line upon line to trust Him and to call upon Him.
My example of someone who has endured before experiencing a miraculous delivery... I was just reading in 2 Nephi of the blessing of Lehi upon his sone Joseph. And how Lehi talked of the older Joseph of Egypt. I was then tutored by the Lord of how Joseph endured so many things.. and then he was lifted above all.. as a king figure.. That I too, could be lifted up above all things as I endure well.
I want to ring the bell above over and over to say.. Amen Amen Amen.. thank you so very much.. Amen

Great comments. Joseph of Egypt is one of the greatest examples! The Lord empowered him through fiery trials to be a savior to the House of Israel. Thank you!!!❤️

What need do we have of miracles in the easy time of our life.

    • @spirtualsurvival

That's exactly right 💯. The ease we have lived in has caused us to not have the faith sufficient for miracles.

Without tribulations there is no need for miracles.

The classic suffering/miracle example is the story of Job. We don't know if this was a real man as it's written differently than the rest of the OT. However it's a marvelous example.

Yes, I've leaned up on the story of Job to bolster my faith numerous times! Thanks 🙏

Actually, in D&C 121: 10 when Joseph Smith was suffering in jail, the Lord spoke to him and said “thou art not yet as Job…” therefore Job was real.

I hate to admit this but suffering makes us or breaks us. Suffering will bring us closer to God.

Who has received miraculous delivery? Here is just a couple: Joseph Smith in Liberty Jail, Alma the Elder escaping Lamanite captivity, 3Ne, Christians being put to death on a certain date if sign of Christ’s birth did not occur. Etc.

Haven't I read somewhere that many Saints will be taken up (translated) in order that they may resist or survive many of the tragedies prior to the Second Comming?

    • @spirtualsurvival
      @spirtualsurvival  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

Yes, Zion will be a city of refuge from the the worst part of the tribulations and there will be saints that are translated but there will be many tribulations leading up to that point.

A lot of different things will happen for different people but not taken up since we’re needed here to do work during that time

      30 ... every one being ordained after this order and calling should have power, by faith, to break mountains, to divide the seas, to dry up waters, to turn them out of their course;
31 To put at defiance the armies of nations, to divide the earth, to break every band, to stand in the presence of God; to do all things according to his will, according to his command, subdue principalities and powers; and this by the will of the Son of God which was from before the foundation of the world.

      - taken up might also mean ascending to a higher dimension

Mortality is ultimately a test. And the reward is so unfathomable that only the most righteous are worthy and capable of such gifts. This life is one of sifting. We know that this planet is the most evil of all of the planets, and we know that this time in the latter days is the most evil of all the times on the earth. Some of the most righteous have been preserved for this day. We will go through the greatest tribulations because the reward is a role of leadership in the Lord’s kingdom throughout the eternities. We will have the mantle of responsibility placed upon us, to have posterity and to create worlds of our own. Only the most righteous will survive the tribulations, and only the righteous are capable of handling that kind of responsibility and reward. The church is the school for the Great and Noble ones. And that is the final exam.
