- In this Football Manager 2024 Experiment, we put a perfect player out into the world, and see where he plays, but not just where as in location, where as in position, because he is a natural at EVERY single outfield position.

This guy is just James Milner
🤣🤣
You should do a perfect attacker , perfect midfielder, perfect defender and perfect goalkeeper and see who has the better career
How would you judge a better career off of trophies won? That would make it reliant on them having a good team around them.
@@baseupp12then do an entire team of identical perfect attackers, midfielders, defenders, and keepers
@@baseupp12 award’s average rating stats etc
@@sundwb578 I feel like this will be skewed heavily in favor of attackers and to a lesser extent midfielders though.
@@baseupp12 yeah but still would be a fun video to watch
It would be interesting to see an experiment of a striker with just the attributes most important to strikers maxed out and everything else left at 10. A pure goal scorer
Interesting 🤔 could do this with other positions too maybe
I wonder if you had the 'perfect goalkeeper' with the perfect outfield stats end up taking set pieces (free kicks, penalties etc) and become the new Rodrigo Ceni?
You can only put a couple of outfield attributes on a GK, and I've tried before. Even with 20 for free kicks and pens, the AI never puts them on them
@@jayhuahua ahhh that’s a shame! Could have been a slightly interesting video if so!
Yeah I thought so too, hence trying in the past
Ngl i havent been subscribed yet, but have litterally watched everyone of ur last like 50 experiments... And they keep getting recommended to me within an hour of them coming out.... But anyway i have now subscribed... Surely that doesnt make it so i dont get the recommendations right?.... Right??
U should still be recommended. I'm glad u finally buckled and subbed 😁
same
I think they just decided to build their team around having a perfect Fullback instead of moving him all around the place.
To be fair who are you gonna get to replace a 200/200 left back you changed to somewhere else?
Well you aren't, but would you play someone at ledt back who is averaging more than a goal comtribution per game in the attacking roles?
on my current save Sean Dyche is the manager of Napoli :D And he won Serie A
Love that
0:37 He'd be a good backup for Havertz
Lol
As bad as it sounds I think the player brought Arsenal down with those high wages. £533m in debt in 2036, and so far his wages have equaled £503m, yes calculated it through the years though only based on salary at the end/start of the year. I am sure they would have signed someone else on high wages but not the £1.4m p/w reached in 2036.
Haha especially being wasted at full back 🤣
@@jayhuahua Yeah I realised that saying he brought Arsenal down when if they played him as a complete strike or something up top he probably would have carried them to Champions League finals every year.
I love your videos could you do one were you give a player a potential of 190+ PA and give them normal CA and just manage their career as their agent or manager and stuff? Like were they play how long they play etc kina like your the player and its a player career mode but for FM 24. Would love to see it amazing video BTW!
Interesting idea. I have some things not too far away from that as an idea but having to get through a couple of other big ideas first. One is taking a long time
No problem hope you could acknowledge the idea. Even though you don't end up doing it I glad you were able to acknowledge it! God bless you have an amazing day.@@jayhuahua
I do like the idea and the being in control aspect is something that very much interests me so it's definitely something I will keep in mind 👍
ok, my humble opinion - because programming is still a mainly sequential thingy, the first record of the Player Position's list is likely a DL or a DR. So the game runs through the defensive positions first? So our player here ended up playing in defence in most of the games? (Even as a WB for Wales? This one is really funny though) Unable to explain why Southampton did play him upfront all season though. *shrugs ...
But he also played in other positions in all seasons. So his versatility did end up useful. Suddenly have a thought - If we create a perfect 20s DC or MC or AMC or SC but nowhere versatile, which would their stats like avg ratings/goals and assists be like, playing in their fixed positions? I asked because I dont peek at CA/PA and relied on stars and avg ratings and 20/20 scouts to gauge players.
Also - irl, Luis Enrique is also a DR/DL/MR/ML right?
P.S. Hope you have better sleep nowadays, ha. How did you find time to do all this? I mean, I work multiple jobs (and played FM at night) and I need to squeeze time out to watch this video (at 1.5x now).
Very logical... thanks for your comment, bet it took longer to type than watch at 1.5 speed. How do u keep up? I talk fast at regular speed 🤣
@@jayhuahuaI typed on my work laptop, so it's quick work, ha.😅
Subtitles helped. But guess everyone has shortened attention span nowadays too. You won't believe it, but i am not a video watcher. No TikTok for me~! So ... 1.5x speed actually makes me pay more attention, ha.
Side-note - My DLP at midfield is finally not performing as well at 36yo in 2057. Finally drawing a few games here and there, ha. (Also, I tried dropping him entirely in important matches.) After the 15+ odd seasons that he was/still is in the team ... Think I would soon need to splash 100+ mil on a new young 5* MC, for once, if a bargain dont appear soon.
29:02 Zlatans son top of the average rating!
Is that Zlatans son?
Should've just used Perry Ng mate xD
I don't get the reference
An experiment I want to know the answer to but might suck if nothing happens. Does giving players their preferred numbers make a difference? One team with favoured numbers, one team given numbers that aren't their favourite, and a control team with no favoured numbers. 20s for all attributes, who will do better? Does having favourite numbers give players a boost or is it meaningless?
I don't think the players complain if you don't give it to them. So can't see it making any difference at all.
Is it something you can promise when you sign them? Like when you can say you will appoint them captain, or assign them penalty duties? That's the only way it's going to upset them.
Numbers or preferred numbers are arbitrary and has no bearing on a players form or success
My Goat Day 10.

Where did Ralph watch come from
The Ralph Watch is an inside joke for LONG time subscribers!! Been a subscriber since Jay had less than 500 subs. Seemed like every test Jay ran, Ralph Hasenhüttl ended up as England's manager.
Although it seems that Ralph hasn't managed England in any of Jay's tests in 6+ months, the watch continues :)
Couldn't have said it better myself Bill 😎
Coach versus experiment
Pep v Klopp v someone v ancelotti
In the bottom of the league
*simeone
Interesting. I like a good manager sim
If you want him to play up front just make him a Striker, whats the point of complaining about where he is playing when this is literally the "Versatile player" experiment lol
But that’s the point of the experiment. Realistically, if we had this player we would play him up top all the time. He wanted to understand the FM AI better.
Well i did come to that conclusion didn't I. However, you could see how he was being under utilised in a weaker position, which is annoying the AI chose this so consistently
