I’d like to see Hasbro start making smaller figures at lower price points, I think it would be fun if for instance they made a Puck for 10$, could also do animal characters like Rocket or Howard the Duck. Similar to how Transformers has their legends sizes that are smaller and less expensive

For me the Hype Moment of the year, aside from Galactus which I plunked my money down for too was NECA's Gargoyles. Great show from the 90s, happy to see it return with such great figures. Goliath turned out awesome, so did Thailog (who I received on 12/30) and the upcoming Demona, Bronx, Hudson, Brooklyn, Lexington, and Broadway look great. Can't wait to see Elisa, Xanatos, Angela and the rest.

I’m most looking forward to Valaverse Action Force which are starting to show up on UK shores thanks to Toysrama, they are so well executed with articulation and design, perfect 1/12 scale military figures to compliment my GI Joe Classified figures

Excellent award show, David. The Sentinel is worthy of the Best Figure Award. Lord only knows I wish I could've backed him and Galactus.
I just know Hasbro is eventually going to release a Delux Package AOA Sabertooth and Wildchild package for less than buying the two separately or they'll add another figure we need in a 3 pack.

DDMD - I really love this video and your concept. We get loaded with Top 10's this time of year, your concept to categorize (and including the candidates) the awards is a refreshing change. I am hoping you get a lot of views for this because I think you are into something. How about naming some of your categories like: The Kirby 60's Retro Figure of the Year; the Stark Award for the most expensive disappointment award; or the Byrne Award for the best comic mutant? I am looking forward to your annual awards video next year.

In fairness that is classic.
HUGE get hype moment for me was the NECA announcement that the Turtles in Disguise 4 pack was going up to preorder. At that point they were impossible to find in store, and reseller prices were astronomical. Still not here, but still hyped that I did get them for retail with shipping.

It's funny, even though I don't care for the Hood as a character/villain and the hood accessory was horribly implemented- I still bought him, on discount, so I can use him as a screaming generic civilian/thug for dioramas.
I saw that firsthand I went to the grocery store just to get the Pop rocks Oreos for my kids and someone was buying all the Loki charms cereal
That Sue Storm retro head sculpt looks exactly like Renee Zellweger. Not circa Empire Records. You know what I mean.

I only collect DC and Horror, but I stuck through the whole video and enjoyed it even though it was predominantly marvel legends. Would love to see another next year

To be honest I got the Masters of the universe revelation line because I thought it looked great for 20 bucks. When I took Battlecat out of the package and put he-man on top they felt like at least $200 worth. The show was OK to me but it definitely is not the reason I bought Toys lol

I could not wait to get rid of the theta sentinel, traded the AI Iron Man, and I took the Prof X buck and made him the grey electro. Really liked your worst list because I am still shopping the rest. I got almost every set in the Infinity Saga wave but I still thing the AoA wave took top honors but I liked the What If wave and the Shang Chi wave was good except for any that were not MCU. The Xenmu wave was a good wave and I like it but AoA2 was still my favorite. THis was a fantastic awards show. Thank you for this.

That Wolverine 5-pack was a big turning point for me. It was so ridiculously priced and so poorly done, that it was a big part of my decision to stop collecting Marvel Legends altogether.
Of course, I still have Galactus coming.

My Xman Nate Grey figure has very rubbery legs .
He is on a stand because getting him to stand is impossible .

Nice vid as always. Theta Sentinel as much as I wanted to love it, I agree woth you. The design is almost true to the comic design but hard to make it stand! Btw, Civil Warrior is from Marvel Contest of Champions though not Strike Force.

Where did you get your Weapon X’s (AOA wave) claws?? I know those aren’t the claws that came with him. Also, think it’s awesome that you’ve got Blink thrown into your AOA display. I think you would only be missing Caliban and Holocaust as far as characters they’ve made from AOA in general. Personally, I’m missing those, Blink, and Apocalypse, but I do have a local store with Apocalypse in stock, just trying to save up to afford him..
Bring on more AOA! The claws were a gift from a buddy of mine. You can easily find custom claws on Instagram and eBay.

Uh. Personally I prefer Tobey and Andrew come out as single figures. I think of the little guy, since I know Hasbro won't. Many collectors are like "If you can't pay up the wazoo then get another job or another hobby, casual". Not everyone can shell out the big bucks for triple-quadruple sets, that's IF they can even find them or get them on pre-order. Can't normal people have a Tobey figure? Bad enough we have to beat scalpers. We can wait for the box set on a re-release if it's absolutely necessary.
Regardless, great job with the awards, this was a blast to watch. And tell those boys who were excited with the F4 retro wave last year to get ready to be disappointed again by the X-Men TAS retro figures because re-use is the name of the game lol they should know retro wave means re-use.

Yay! I'm so glad Frog-Man won. The Super7 April was actually pretty good. People didn't like the shiny plastic, and I get it, but the sculpt was great. Super7 can probably get it right on a repaint.

Cool video man! Few comments over ML:
1- I avoid figures with old bodies like Spider-Man 2099, or overpriced figures like exclusives. Hasbro eventually will re-release them in better molds or regular release with few tweaks.
2- I never bought the 1st cannonball and I don't have the other two, I will wait till discount to grab them.
3- Good for me, I'm done with MCU figures, lots of cheap MKT tactics on this line. Overprice, tons of new versions every new movie, lackluster BAF's. Feel so good passing on them.
4- Hydra Stomper, same, I want it but at 40 Canadian Dollars hahaha.

I stopped collecting Legends and most mass market releases.... Most of my collection is now Classified Joes, indie stuff and Japanese lines. I'll probably pick up standout figures but yeah mostly not collecting any mainstream stuff.

I miss counted the numbers and didn’t realize till I got to about 3!
I got a retro 2099 and the thighs were jammed but I managed to fix them with hot water and aside from that its a really good figure

I think I’m going to one of few people that like the Wolverine box set. Wolverine comes with a cool looking beat up head and I didn’t have omega red so it was cool that he came with an extra head. I thought mastermind and Callisto were just cool x men characters to go on my shelf. Cyber was I think pretty damn cool looking even if he was basic.

Yeah something I dislike about the AOA Cyclops is that they used the Bucky cap body on a strong Cyclops which made me not buy it.
It might just be me.Also the Bucky cap body isn't good and is resumed too frequently

As a child Mego had a 8 inch Star Trek line. For Christmas I got the Enterprise . It was Cardboard coverd in a thick clear vinyl like plastic .
It was okay and came with extras.
Please tell me the StarcWars Black line Haslab Rancor backdrop was at least covered in a good quality plastic . Please.

I'm a huge multiverse mark. I couldn't agree more with the "No gun" policy. I wasn't smartened up at first and went back and reread Flashpoint to find the significance of batman and the sword he came with. And there wasn't any. I can't wait for the new suicide squad line. I hear Deadshot comes with an oversized novelty lollipop.
If you were reading Immortal Hulk, then Xemnu made perfect sense as the Baf. Savage Opress is a he.
Oh I read immortal hulk and LOVED that story. So gruesome. My expanded Universe Star Wars knowledge is pretty bad though. That whole time I was thinking of the white skinned women with the red hair!

I actually really like my Spider-Man 2099, it’s really sturdy. Also I get being annoyed that they’re redoing stuff, but it’s nice for the collectors that are new to it (like me) who didn’t have a chance to get it the first time round.

10:29 You mean AIM Supreme Scientist (not 'Hydra Supreme'). An occasional head-swap for AIM Scientist Supreme would be Arcade's head....but only because I suspect that Arcade's full-time day-job is being AIM's Scientist Supreme! (Which would explain where Arcade gets all his MurderWorld mech from!). I suspect that AIM's Scientist Supreme just occasionally 'rocks out' as Arcade to blow off some steam and have some fun. How else would he get to fight the X-Men and Spider-Man? Now and then he gets bored of bossing AIM around, and needs to get out for some interactive battles with heroes. He has AIM whip him up another MurderWorld, so he can test his mettle against some heroes.

Why doesn't Hasbro make a ROM in the same scale as GI Joe and Legends. Imagine the money they could make .
Us old timers who read those comics with Marvel .... I get giddy just thinking about ROM hanging out with my Novas , GOTG guys , any cosmic marvel fig .
Then they could give us a comic book accurate Torpedo , Eternals, dire wraiths , oh boy .
Then the imagine if they could make a Conan the Librarian err Barbarian , Red Sonja .
