Meanwhile while they lied to the American people with Diesel Gate and had the tax payers bail them ($100M) out with their shooty - broken ev chargers. But yeah, design….
watched him do that 'crunch' position while getting into/through the drivers door well looked a bit 'cringe' for me. The size of the door well feels like it's been reduced in size 20+ percent to leave more door size for the 2nd roll hence the more 'family friendly' option/attainability.
@ nah, wasn’t bad at all for ingress. The only reasons why i seem like I’m ‘crunching’ is because: 1. I wanted to make sure I was fully on camera because in my Nissan Armada first look, I was outta frame… 2. I always have to be mindful of my mic because it was held on by a magnet through a thick sweater so I had to move a bit slower than normal… aaaaand 3. I’m a big guy who looks specifically to call out big-guy-comfort issues. IF it’s weird getting in & out of the thing, I’ll for sure address that.
I'm on my 2nd Tiguan (2022) and i have enjoyed them both. The 2018 was an SEL and the current is an SE...so i have learned its SEL all the way moving forward! My only gripe is that my wife's NX seats are so muchbetter. Man i wish they would invest in more comfortable seats similar to the NX for long drives.
Not a huge fan of the backlights, but it’s not horrible. It’s a sleek looking rig. VW has a habit of making the base and mid trims look really disappointing in comparison to the highest trim. I hope this isn’t the case here.
VW was serious when it said no more plastics... LITERALLY this is AUDI Jr in terms of features! damn massaging seats! companies finally realizing DAILY DRIVERS should be comfortable! not GO KARTS.....
Are we seeing two different colors? The one inside being displayed versus the one that is being shown outside? If so, I really like that color that is driving outside on the video. Not a fan of the color on display inside.
No hybrid?!! Big fail hopefully maybe in a couple years they will bring the European hybrid version over but this is not good. Also, they need more dang buttons.
Am I the only one who has an issue with the back end? I can't quite pin it, maybe it's a proportion issue, but it's not working for my eye. On a more positive note: the interior is fantastic!
They finally laid off the guys designing and/or signing off the fake exhausts. Good riddance. And I wore those sneakers for the first time today, what a coincidence 😂
Buttons, buttons, whose got the the buttons? VW should have just updated the steering wheel why they were at it. In fact, wish it came with a power adjustable wheel option, but that's not typical at this class. Then again, neither are ventilated massaging seats. @4:00 Speaking of the ambient lights, they don't turn red when you open the door for safety. Like the piano black, those will just get dirty and nasty from grubby fingers and stretch and sag out of shape a year or two or three down the road. Don't let anybody use those. The storage in the ends of the seats have no lip, so the moment you open the door whatever you have in there will fall out onto the ground. More terrible designs that don't look forward. Like the piano black, those will just get dirty and nasty from grubby fingers and stretch and sag out of shape a year or two or three down the road. Don't let anybody use those. If you put your phone in those seat back pockets, thieve will get a good clear view and break in the steal it. Or just reach in and grab it. Cup holders seem like an after thought with its placement. Not only a stretch, but one space blocks the other. Anyway, I prefer a light head liner.
I prefer the styling of the previous gen as this looks so generic. I do like the interior and features this new gen has though. Hopefully VW offers auto brake hold for this gen as VWs and even Audis in North America don’t come equipped with it.
Sure it does, he fits fine. I'm 6'4 too, and my first VW was a Jetta. I'm just disappointed I don't see the thigh extension seats on this one. That was my biggest grip on my Jetta and my Passat. On long road trips my right knee would ache.
VW is one of the few companies who hasn’t screw up their design yet, nice job.
Ehhh it's a bit too round looking in the front as a VW product. Also, the previous gen looked better
Yeh they never screw up in terms of reliability too. Same sh**y car as old models with somany reliability issues.
Missing HVAC knobs & removal of 40/20/40 rear split could be considered a misdemeanour by VW…
true
Meanwhile while they lied to the American people with Diesel Gate and had the tax payers bail them ($100M) out with their shooty - broken ev chargers. But yeah, design….
I think HVAC controls and volume control should all be buttons
everyone but the cost cutting management at VW agrees
Looks like my next car
Nice to see a reviewer my height show how much room this has! This is at the top of my list for my next ride!
Happy to help out Mr. Matt!
Same I'm 6'5. Interior room is huge for me.

@ thank you for answering that Mike! Excited to test drive one when it hits dealers!
Great video Mike!😸
Thanks Ryan!
Nice review! Excellent job!
This is a winner. Looks really good inside and out.

Well, well, well, looks who's been hitting the gym (clears throat). I mean, looks who's been hitting the dealership 😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂
Nice job DANGER
They need to make a 300hp R version
Agree, but way more expensive
@@island661 No, the Golf R is less that two grand over the GTI.
@@krane15 I want the fastest one. So GTI is the way to go?
Not a fan of VW, but this might be the nicest compact suv. Well done 👏🏾
Very nice design. Great video.
Awesome looking car inside and out. Good job VW!
I absolutely love it
best looking VW Tiguan by far . . .
Have they gotten rid of the 3rd row? That was always a huge selling point over the crv and rav4
Yup, no mo 3rd row nico
Its still made (in FWD). But apparently not for North America -- at least for now.
They updated the Tiguan nicely, and look is much better 🤟😊
Not a huge fan of the backlights, but it’s not horrible. It’s a sleek looking rig. VW has a habit of making the base and mid trims look really disappointing in comparison to the highest trim. I hope this isn’t the case here.
Wow beautiful! Can't believe this is not an electric car etc
VW was serious when it said no more plastics... LITERALLY this is AUDI Jr in terms of features! damn massaging seats! companies finally realizing DAILY DRIVERS should be comfortable! not GO KARTS.....
Agreed! The Audi touches are nice. This wagon enthusiast would like this in a wagon for the U.S. One can dream!
I’m just begging for a dedicated “R” model not “R-line” and I’d take one in a heartbeat
We all are. You'd think that would be a no-brainer for VW when we get the Golf R yet the Tiguan is VW's best seller in North America.
Impressive!
It’s crazy we call these things “compact” SUVs 😭. Looks great though.
Right?! They’re damn near borderline midsize.
@@yesmikedanger Which is why they needed to create a subcompact.
اعتقد الشكل اختلف عن موديل ٢٤ فيس لفت جديد
و هل تعديلات الشكل ٢٠٢٥ هتكون على نسخة الشرق الاوسط ١٤٠٠ cc
Js always on point
Haha appreciate that
Where are the padded shifters? 😮
As if the fake performance looks aren't enough?
In another market this was called tayron and the tiguan was smaller version of it with different interior
The European version may have the same name and platform, but is a different car.
Are we seeing two different colors? The one inside being displayed versus the one that is being shown outside? If so, I really like that color that is driving outside on the video. Not a fan of the color on display inside.
Improved horses power 201
And it's 200 lbs lighter than the outgoing model 😊
VW claims lighter steel. But it doesn't have the 3rd row.
Gurllllll this SUV IS CUTE AS F!!!😍😍😍😍😍
Yaaaaaaaaaasssss
@ omg we just had a moment!!!😻😻😻😻🤣🤟yasssssss!!!!!!! Lol
@@nathangraham1760 😂😂😂 hell yeah we did! Come on now, Bring it up in here! 🫂
how much torque?
If I remember correctly from another video-221.
Looks good, no hybrid is a let down. Future is BEV and EV
Some seems to forget hud display
HUDs are typically options. But do come on standard on higher models.
Can't wait to buy it used in 10 years.
This is a VW video, not Porsche.
@@krane15 VW owns Porsche.
It looks like a bigger Nissan Kicks?
No hybrid?!! Big fail hopefully maybe in a couple years they will bring the European hybrid version over but this is not good. Also, they need more dang buttons.
Two hybrids. Be patient.
@ oh I will. I’m just frustrated. They didn’t come out of the gate when I know they have them in the pipeline.
I don’t know if anyone noticed that but the check engine light is on 😂
Am I the only one who has an issue with the back end? I can't quite pin it, maybe it's a proportion issue, but it's not working for my eye. On a more positive note: the interior is fantastic!
I don't like the PLAY button lights. The rectangles in 3-D would have been more than distinctive. Not need to be goofy.
I like it!
They finally laid off the guys designing and/or signing off the fake exhausts. Good riddance. And I wore those sneakers for the first time today, what a coincidence 😂
Hahaha Jordan 11 twins!
When you see a car design and wonder: what were they thinking?
A little behind with the lack of a Hybrid or PHEV
Looks damn good
Love it
Bring PLuG in version to north america and ill will buy
We need more touch buttons...😏😏😏
Looks like a Audi now, much improved without the kidney bean nose.
love

man, vw screwed their logo in the front with that light bar. never thght vw will follow the trend.
🔥🔥
What's with that grill?? 😬 Not a fan of the high headlights. The rest of the car looks good. Interior is not bad.
What? That's where you want your light up high shining down. Just like everywhere else.
Just needs a little more horse power. At least 250hp
The eHybrid has more than 250 hp, when combined with the electric engine. And has around 100 km pure electric range.
Nope glad I order a 2024 high line kings red
Buttons buttons buttons. VW...please
Fake vents does not make up for fake exhausts.👎
Climate controls on the screen = not buying.
The you just cancelled out 80% of cars.
If that's your criteria you're going to have a very small selection. The Korean brands still use buttons.
1800lb towing UNBREAKED, or? Because this thing in Europe can tow 2,5 tonnes (~ 5000lb)
Unlike they North American version, you get way more (powerful) engines choices. Up to 272 with the PHEV.
I prefer the styling of the previous gen as this looks so generic. I do like the interior and features this new gen has though. Hopefully VW offers auto brake hold for this gen as VWs and even Audis in North America don’t come equipped with it.
I don’t like the wheels. Reminds me of a Subaru
Neither do I, but good news. Its probably the easiest thing to change on a car. Even the dealer can do that for you, and write it into the financing.
The pronunciation it's folkswagen not volkswagen.
Voltswagen
Weak engine, no hybrid or plug in. Fail.
There are two hybrids. VW says North American will get both.
why is 6’4 brotha reviewing a compact small suv - doesn’t make sense!
like the car.

They ruined it. Less practicality. More screens, lights and bullshit.
What carmaker is that not the case?
