It is holding up very well. So far we like it better than the 2 Kawasaki engines we have on our other 2 mowers which are the same. They are all the same horsepower (25) but it is more powerful.
Hi, just bought a Spartan RZ with the same engine. Will be doing my 20 hour oil change soon. Dealer told me they had one with the Kawasaki 691 but sold it before I got there? Can not find any reviews at all on the 2500 CXI but I do like the air filter system over the Kawasaki. So how are the engines holding up for you? Thanks
@@thomasm9139 We absolutely love our Spartan mowers. We have 3 of them. The 2 older ones which are 3 and 4 years old have the Kawasaki engines. The only problem we have had are carburetors on both. They have only had Non ethanol gas as well. Other than that they are great engines. The oldest one has over 450 hours on it. Our newest one has the Vanguard engine. It is our favorite so far. The filter system seems to be better but if you keep them clean they are all great. Spartan mowers are also very easy to maintain because the are simple. I think the newest mower has 150 or 175 hours on it. Thank you for watching.

I was wrong, the newest one already has 245 hrs.
