- This video will explain how stucco cracks develop on the top of parapet walls, stucco trim around windows, and anything that acts as a stucco shelf area. It will also explain how important a Bituthene membrane is to these areas to help prevent stucco cracks. I will explain how Grade-D building paper can handle moisture that is occasional. That is, small volumes of moisture that occur when rainstorms take place. How building paper is just like wood when exposed to continual moisture, it deteriorates. Even wood deteriorates and suffers from rot when exposed to continual moisture.
