Can you control the speed of the fans that are plugged into the hub individually with a app like Fan Control? I want to have different speeds on my front fans and bottoms.
No, u can’t do anything. It’s a $50 fan hub that everyone else makes for literally $10-$15, that isn’t even enclosed. lol they’re robbing tf out of everyone.
It's not a smart fan hub. If you want to have individual RPM control over Front, Side and Top fans you'll need 3 Hubs and plug each one of them into a different header on your motherboard.
@thedeegee1601 By plugging this into an on board 4 pin header you can control all the fans in the bio. Although it won't be individually. It'll be all 8 as one.

can you run this controller without a PC or with a Raspberry Pi? I'm trying to figure out a fan solution for my network rack which has raspberry pis in it among a lot of network gear but not sure if this will work.

Using it with SATA only makes alot of sense, as this will skipp the motherboard all together and should be more stable in cause you bought an Asus motherboard that randomly decide to stops the PWM fans from time to time. From the manual at Noctua this option will require the addition of NA-FC1 to controll the fans.@@PCCrazyDario
@@Kjeilen I don't know about ASUS boards since I don't use them. SATA + PWM works perfectly fine on MSI and ASRock boards. No shenanigans like on ASUS. NA-FC1 is optional if you don't want to use PWM control. And of course, I stated all of this in the video, except for the motherboard brands.
Hi I found this little thing on aliexpress, can this be safe for my motherboard? I have a processor cooler that I need to connect to 5 volts, but I only have 12 volts argb on the motherboard, can I safely connect that thing to my motherboard and then connect the cooler I have arctic freezer arg to that fun adapter?
IMO aquacomputer OCTO is much superior "hub". It's true fan controller with 8 individual channels 100 watts of total combined power and several more features like temperature sensor pins, rgb, flow and more via aquabus. Plus aqua suite is probably the best fan controlling software in the market.
I would only try that if you’re using the SATA power. I don’t know exactly how much current you can draw just from your motherboard header but it would be a good challenge to see how many fans you can split before your motherboard starts smoking.
Ok, I checked the specifications on Noctua’s website. There’s a self-resetting fuse which will prevent drawing too much current. The 5v header can handle up to 24w and the 12v SATA can handle up to 54w. Just look at the label on your fans. Just add up the wattages on your fans and make sure it doesn’t exceed the wattage rating. Since there’s a self-resetting fuse, you can push the limit if you’re feeling adventurous.

Works for 2 fans (3 pins) of the case & 2 fans (4 pins) of the radiator's liquid cooler (nzxt x53)
Will the fans increase/decrease speed as temperatures rise and fall? If not, any pointers on how to do this would be great :)

How much current is each fan header rated for? I don't understand why fan hubs, including this Noctua, almost never state this important info.
54/8 which would be 6.75 watts per header which is just under the 140mm 3000rpm noctua which has a power draw of 6.6w
@@Juiceontheloose76 No. It doesn't work like that. Each header is most likely rated for up to 1 A (12 W), 2 A (24 W), or 3 A (36 W).

When you use SATA for more power, you also use the PWM to control the speeds. So yes, you can use both. Otherwise, only SATA doesn't make sense.
